I have a soundspace 8 and it won't power up at all. Are there any serviceable fuses in the device? I can't find anything on the subwoofer or control unit, and I don't have access to a manual.

Had the same problem. Try plugging and unpluging the system cord that connects the subwoofer to the control unit. Mine looked fine - but must have become loose. Try it.

What's the engine compresion ? sitting that long can cause engine ring problem , Did you clean the injectors or replace . fuel gummed up ! Clean fuel lines . Or when you parked it did you run it till fuel ran out , pulled fuel pump fuse ? Squirt some oil into the cylinders an turn it over a few times . These are a few thing's that should be done before leaving a vehicle to sit. Flush out fuel lines too

Power and Instrument problems

I have worked on a few of these over the years and have found two problems that solve this problem, the first is a bad cluster and the second would be a bad connectionat the under the hood fuse box, there is a small battery cable that goes from the battery to this box, if you look behind the battery you will see the fuse box, check the connection of this cable at the box, make sure it is clean and tight and then check it at battery also.

Were is the fuse box located don't have owner's manual

Hi Steve, merry xmas and a happy new year to you. my suggestion is to give up smoking. failing that, you might want to look under the knee area as you sit in the drivers seat, there might be a panel that pops down which has fuses in behind it, or the kick panel, where your feet sit as you drive. most fuses are under the hood of your car. if you arent confident of finding the fuse box, best to leave it to a techy to do it for you.

My bike has been sitting for a long time, im not really sure how long its been but i know at least 5 years. I bought a new party and there was still no power getting to the ignition so I have a few...

Electrical won't be your biggest problem. Pull the carbs off and start crying now. 5 years of sitting killed them dead. Carb rebuilding or replacement, gas tank sealing, new battery, tank lock repair, oil change, spark plugs, rotted tires replacement (yes they are) and the electric issues will be or exceed your sanity level and value of bike. Sell bike now get a newer one that runs. You'll thank me later.

Where is the fuse located?

In general you can locate the internal fuse by opening up the microwave cabinet. To get to the fuse, remove the outer cabinet of the unit, which is usually held in place with a few screws. Once the outer cabinet is removed, follow the power cord into the unit. It will take you to the fuse holder, where the fuse sits. The fuse holder is located two or three inches into the unit, and may be attached to a power board.

Fuel gage does not work at all. What steps would

Man, I love this car when they first came out. Friend of mine had one with turbo with Lotus suspension/handling. Being 1988 would not surprised me if the AUTOMETER FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT is bad, it does not matter if its has only 10k miles because of the year. The car is 21 year old and very seldom any electrical system that sit in the chemicals or petroleum that long will last without developing any corrosion or rust. Keep in mind, being 21 years old car with only 60k miles, is telling me its has been sitting for a long time without being driven. Your Isuzu should have 252k miles if it had been driven 12k per year although it average 2800 miles per year. I have seen a 5 year old gas tank that has been left sitting half empty, it has so much rust and corrosion in the tank you would not believed because of moister. This is a true fact, If better to leave the gas tank completely full or completely empty sitting and will have less chance developing corrosion. First, Check all fuses to make sure you getting power to the gages. The only way to test the unit is to test the unit itself. There is plastic connector on top of the tank you can test by unplugging the connector and using the 12v light tester to see if you getting power from main source. My sense tells me the AUTOMETER FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT is bad and need replacing. It will cost you 38 bucks auto parts warehouse.com, very easy to replace. If you have plans to keep that car, I would get your self Hayne's auto repair books for 20buck to keep for the next repair. Great book will teaches you alot about the car and the heart of it. Good luck, hope this help some

NO POWER

Viewsonic's are typically well built. Are there any lights on? If you've already sit for a while and then plugged it back in and still nothing, pop the back off again and see if there are any blown (popped up) capacitors on the power supply. Maybe it took a light surge. If there are any bad caps, they usually only cost around a dollar a piece to replace.
We had 2 42" Viewsonic's that get used every day go through a building surge while one was on and it still works great a year later.
