Sound is a low pitched one. It has a cavitating quality similar to a garbage disposal. when the water valve (a ball valve) is closed the pitch rises very quickly to a high pitched tone and then stops. If the high pitched sound soes not happen the condition starts again as soon as the valve is opened. When the high pitch sound occurs the problem does not start again when the valve is opened until later in the cycle.

The test program resulted in the Normal wash light and the delicate wash light to come on when the test was completed. There is no scrub wash cycle on this model. Are the test results the same?

To start test program, press and hold both POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH program buttons, then turn unit on by pressing ON/OFF button. When program buttons are released, lights above them will flash. To end test program, press ON/OFF button.
To check program indicator lights (POWER SCRUB PLUS, SCRUB WASH, REGULAR WASH and RINSE & HOLD), press and hold each program button. When SCRUB WASH program button is pressed, CLEAN light also comes on andan audible tone (?beep?) also occurs.
To start testing, press both POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH buttons a second time. When testing has ended and a fault was detected, the following indicator lights will be lit:
POWER SCRUB PLUS = Heater fault
SCRUB WASH = Water filling fault (over or under filling)
REGULAR WASH = NTC (temperature sensor) fault ? note circulation motor stops shortly after it started during an NTC fault
To check for heater, high limit or flow switch problems, start testing until heating starts. Using a meter with a current coil, measure current going into dishwasher. If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty.
If water level switch (f1) has failed (opened), SCRUB WASH light will come on and unit will continually fill and drain where testing won't be completed. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), water won't heat (to 150?F) and water won?t stop circulating. If NTC probe (f2/f4) has failed (opened), REGULAR WASH light will come on immediately and testing will end shortly after water has started circulating.
If more than one fault occurs, more than one light will be lit.

Also, could you describe the loud noise? Pitch, duration, what it sounds similar to...etc.

    Thanks

My first thought without knowing what the sound is like, is to believe that the water pressure has changed slightly, to cause this "problem".

Is the noise only there while the dishwasher is filling? If yes, then be sure that your water main valve to the house is fully open. What is the age of the water heater for the house. Does the water pressure at the sink or other locations seem to have changed around the time that you first noticed the noise?

At my house, when the shower upstairs is turned on, while other HOT water is being used elsewhere in the house, I always hear a slight noise thru the pipes that is a high pitched whine.

    Let me know...

    For my info...

Are you in the USA? Does the unit run, but, you want to figure out the noise and code? Does water fill up into the basin at bottom of unit? Any other symptoms?

This will help further confirm your problem!

How come my bosch WA20261AU makes loud vibrating sound and its hot inside?

Hi Yvemarie,
Based on what I searched about the machine that you have where in the beep noise can only be hear at the end of the cycle not during the cycle. And also that noise can lower down and I will provide you steps on how to do that. It seems to me also that there is some kind of an issue on your machine since you said there was steaming and smoking happening, right? If the steps I will provide below works and still doing the same thing I guess you need to have that machine serviced.
    • 1 Press and hold the "Select" button on the electric display until the acoustic signal symbol, which looks like a small speaker-phone, is illuminated on the display.
    • 2 Continue to hold down the "Select" button until the system cycles through "Continuous", "Max" and then "Off" settings.
    • 3 Release the "Select" button when "Off" is highlighted next to the acoustic symbol. The signal noise is now turned off on the washer.

Makes a really loud buzzing noise during operation

Unit uses a Magnetron and likely a power board called an inverter to run it. Someone would have to open the unit in a way where they might pinpoint where the sound is coming from and then take action--does not of course sound normal or good to me.

2. that the unit is leveled.

Loud humming noise when dishwasher is filling up with water

your model is pretty new. just so you know your warrenty is 1 year parts and labor. 2 years on parts. it should not cost that much money.

there are two components that start before the circulation pump.(wash noise you hear)

first sounds you hear will be the drain pump. usually rattling noises if something is in it but it can make a hum noise if something is jamming the drain propeller up. which is accessible with a T20 torx driver. take the filters out and the mesh filter. and unscrew the screw in the base towards the left. pull out whatever is lodged.

the other humming sound can come from the next component that activates is the watervalve. make sure you dont have a kinked water intake line. otherwise its a bad valve. i have had to change a few of those water valves out already but not for a hum noise on your model. you have a new style water valve. when brands make new parts we get problems fast sometimes..
