The player doesn't like the brand of CDR your playing. Try using just a
CD burner instead of a combo CD/DVD burner.
Also use Verbatim Pastel brand, because the player recognizes these
discs easier. Also, it wouldn't hurt for you to run a commercial disc
laser cleaner through this thing to clean the optical lens. Burn music
using Nero software because its
easy and the best.
hi try first to insert a clean up CD, and test your Cd player with an original CD, if the problem persist , your laser sense is defficient you have to go to fix it to a specialist.
hope this helps you
I have the same Kenwood unit and mine worked great for over 2 years.... I now get the same 05 error code whenever i insert any cds.... I havent yet been able to find anything about this on the net... I am about to take the cd player in for the extended warranty I purchased with it.... It is by far the best cd player that I have ever owned...............
It could mean many things: the disc is inserted upside down, the disc is too scratched to play, too dirty to play, there might be condensation on the lens, mechanical failure, the list goes on.
If the disc is fine and inserted the correct way, and the error code keeps appearing, it typically indicates mechanical failure and that the CD player will need new parts and/or alignment to properly work again. I would suggest taking it to an authorized repair center.
