Arm not working. Stop/start light flashes red instead of staying solid

Don't try and force anything that won't move. Try this. With the power unplugged, place the tonearm over the record, if it will move freely, while rotating the platter by hand. Move the tonearm slowly over the surface of the platter until the end. Continue turning the platter by hand and see if the tonearm picks up and returns to the rest. See if that fixes your issue. Green power light comes on goes off then on again stays solid, moniter says no signal, mouse lights up, and three red lights on key board flash then nothing why?

If the monitor power light is on or flashing, but nothing displays, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor needs replaced.

Projector turns on the power light flashing and lamp light solid

Here's the fix: Take off the top cover of the projector. Unplug the wire leading from the two fans in the back of the unit to one of the circuit boards in front of you. Just trace one wire from fan to board. Unplug at board. Turn unit on and it will again turn on, show HP splash screen and then shut down, like it should, because the fans are now disabled. After it completly shuts down, plug the fan wire back into the board. Turn the unit back on and, presto, its working again. It will not turn off.

Try it!

The Power Light is Red

yeah, should stay red when unit is turned off, indicating there's power but it's doing nothing.

Per user manual:
Solid red - power off (standby mode)
blinking red - power off (now cooling)
blinking green - power on (preparing to light lamp)
solid green - power on

Thomson DTI6300-16 digital TV recorder frozen, red light on constantly, no resposnse to any commands. I think it needs a factory reset - how do I do this?

Try Resetting the box to its factory setting:
  • Menu > Setup > Help
  • Then press the Green Button (Even though it doesn't show as an option)
  • Then press the Red button for a full reset
Warning: You will lose all data on the Hard Disk!

I did this when mine wouldn't record anything and dumped all my pre-recorded programs.
Worked a treat.

Thomson dti 6300 freeview box will not come on just shows constant red/orange light flashing all the time, tried leaving power off etc....anyone know?

What to do: if you have a solid amber light If the power light on the box will not change from solid Amber to solid Red then it is possible that a problem has occurred with the current in use software. Before attempting a fix, power the box off and on at the power socket and then wait at least 5 minutes for the solid RED lamp to appear.
If it still remains solid Amber and the box will not come out of standby to ON (Green light) then this can be corrected using the software revert procedure which is done using the box front panel buttons as follows:

1. Remove power to the unit by removing the power cable from the back of the box.

2. Wait 20 seconds and then restore the power cable while pressing the standby button repeatedly on the front panel of the box.

3. Release the standby button immediately when you see a lamp flash on the box's front display, and then immediately press the following front panel arrow buttons in this sequence:

- Menu
- OK

Note: you have to do this quickly and in sequence

4.The Orange light will flash and the STB will then reboot and should return with the previous version of software.

5. The box will now be running with the previous software version but it will automatically update with the latest version within approx 2 hours and you will be notified by message which will appear in the Message area within the Main Menu.
