On ccleaner use the until to setup the startup and get rid of somestuff.. also you could use another 512mb of ram.. its pretty cheap now.. check out or . once a year i back up everything on my computer and Format my OS harddrive and reinstall windows . There is nothing better then a fresh install of windows. that will for sure speed things up until you bogg it down with programs again.. but at least you can start over. good luck , hope this has helped.

- 512 Mb of RAM (at least)
- DirectX 9 class graphic card

If all above are met than you can also do (to SPEED UP your computer):
- defragment your hard drive
- remove all unused shortcuts and files from the desktop
- setup your system for NO ANIMATED WINDOWS and choose STABILITY from

I get error messages about cleaning registry.I had a CC Cleaner,Malware cleaner .My CC Cleaner is in the recycle bin.I through out AVG trial version. I have Microsoft Security Essentials which i tried to...

Wow. I don't know where to begin...

128 Mb of ram is not enough to run any modern operating system. Which one are you running anyway? You should have 256Mb as an ABSOLUTE MINIMUM, preferably 512Mb or more.

You should only have 1 ANTIVIRUS program on your computer. Even if you uninstall an old one it will leave stuff in your registry that will almost certainly mess with the new one.

Unless you are in love with the system as is, I recommend saving all your important documents on a flash drive, add some RAM to your system and then do a fresh install of your operating system.

After the fresh install and your initial updates (microsoft I assume), download the following programs (all available free from CNET.COM)

AVG FREE 2011 antivirus (not the trial version)
CCLEANER registry cleaner
MALWAREBYTES' antimalware

Anyway, good luck and please post back with your progress if you need more help.

I purchased AVG but it didn't install properly so I cancelled the installation. Now how did I install the product I've already purchased? I have the license number.

Most probably it seems to be a low ram problem but you should match the specifications with your machine to find the culprit.
here are the specifications

Processor Intel Pentium 1.5 GHz Memory 512 MB RAM Hard disk free space (for installation) 750 MB HDD Recommended system requirements
Processor Intel Pentium 1.8 GHz Memory 512 MB RAM Hard disk free space (for installation) 1200 MB HDDI guess you lack something among them please verify them .
If you re still not able to resolve just comment with error message

Minimize Number of Programs atStart-Up If you are running too many programsat start-up this can be a cause of Windows Vista running slowly. So try tominimize the number of programs running at start-up. Follow these steps todisable start-up programs. 1. Click Start
2. Select Run
3. In the dialog box type MsConfig
4. Press Enter, a pop-up window will appear on your screen
5. Click on Start-up
6. Uncheck unwanted services and programs from startup
7. Press OK
8. Restart your PC b> Increase System Memory Most of us ignore the issue ofmemory when Windows Vista runs so slow. Many old computers came with 512 MB ofRAM and on such PC's Windows XP runs well but if you want to run Windows Vistaon such a PC you should have at least 1 GB of RAM for smooth performance. b> Clean Out Viruses While surfing the internet somemalicious applications are downloaded and installed automatically in oursystem. These malicious applications decrease the performance of any operatingsystem, Windows Vista run so slow due to these infected files. To get rid ofthese malicious applications you must download and install a powerful Virus andSpyware cleaner. Run a full PC virus scan and remove all the viruses, malwareand other infected files. b> Clean Out Registry Windows registry contains registrykeys of all the applications that you run on your PC and there are some entriesthat result in corruption in the registry. Corrupt registry problem cannot befixed by scanning your PC for viruses and spy-wares because registry errorscannot be detected by antivirus. For this you need a good registry cleaner andPC optimizer such as reginout.

Not familair with the yaabaa virus/spyware but usually this error is because your av got rid of the infection but didn't clean up the registry entry. So windows tries to load it and can't find the file so shows the error. So AVg killed it but it didn;t clean up afterwards.

I need a good internet security program that ISN'T Norton

Wow, this is a big answer. There are many free virus protection programs but I've compiled a list of free, great quality, and awesome protection anti-virus programs for your solution.

Free Anti-Virus:
  • Windows Defender
  • Ad-Aware
  • PC Tools AntiVirus Free Edition
  • AVG Anti-Virus Free
  • Avira AntiVir Personal - Free AntiVirus

In addition to the collection of anti-virus programs I would recommend some cleaning and analyst programs to speed up your computer.

Cleaning & Analyst Utilities:
  • CCleaner
  • Defraggler
  • Recuva
  • Speccy
I'm sure you'll be happy with these programs. Have fun and always use protection!
