Hi, We have a small CDI454-80 Candy Dishwasher. It is just 18 months old and has only been used around twenty to thirty times. It has recently started to leave a film on all the dishes after the wash is complete. We noticed it a few days ago and have tried different tablets but with no better results. We have also noticed that the cutlery is getting brown rust like marks on everything in the silver tray. PLEASE HELP! Thanks, Dave

E:18 or E18: Water Level error.

Wrong water level detected during loading.

Causes:

• Defective water inlet valve.
• Clogged air trap chamber.
• Damaged pressure switch hose.
• Faulty pressure level switch.

Solutions:
Unplug the dishwasher and:

• Check the Solenoid valve.
• Clean the air trap chamber.
• Find the air leakage in the pressure switch hose.
• Replace the pressure level switch.

If it's only two months old I would talk to the place I bought it from. I am sure they will help you. It should be under warranty.

I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... Its time for a new battery. After a period of time of using a battery, the amount of charge it can hold depletes. Even if you always have it plugged in. Usually, batteries only last 18-24 months which is sad, seeing how much they cost. I'm a computer tech and see this problem everyday first hand. The best thing you can do is buy a battery from eBay and save yourself a bunch of money. Local retail stores charge up to 3 times as much for a battery. Good luck and I hope this helps..... :>)

18 months isn't enough for a bearing to die so I guess that perhaps a shock absorber snapped or got disconnected from the drum or machine casing. It is not an expensive part and can be replaced by experienced DIY guy. Perhaps the bolt and nut which hold the shock absorber haven't been tightened properly in factory so in time they got loose completely before falling off. I'm just guessing. Call a repairman to take a look at it and don't use it before it gets repaired.

"e" is economy wash and the other buttons are temp selection. i suspect that the problem may be the spray arms not rotating. open bthe door when on wash and check the arms are rotating. if not, remove the arms and clean - they tend to get blocked over a period of time. the arms only rotate with water coming out of angled jets at the end

try checking that your salt container lid is on properly
