I have a Scanner I purchased from Radio shack and My niece played with it and locked every channel out and I cant get anything on it it doesnt say what kind it is but the code on the back of it is c101153...

It's impossible to give you a definite answer without knowing the make and model of your scanner, but if your display is showing a key or a lock, look for a key that has a symbol that looks like a key or a lock. With the scanner ON, press and hold that key until the display symbol clears. I hope this helps.

I have a Pro-95 scanner that I enjoy alot, the problem is that the keypad seems to be locked, sound and squelch work fine but not a single button, I've tried the reset button several times. Any help would...

Look at the keyboard and find the button the shows the symbol for a key and a symbol for a light bulb. Press the FUNC button and then the key indicated above. The words key unlocked should appear in the display. Repeat the process to lock the keys again.

How do i get the channels to change on vx10 radio selector does not seem to change them radio recently repaired by yaesu and user manual not much help

The dial is probably locked. Look for a little padlock symbol on the display. Check the user manual for Dial or keyboard lock. Generally on Yaesu radios you use the function key plus a keyboard key. If the keyboard is labeled, you should see something that looks like a padlock next to the correct function key.

Try this.
Here's another variation that worked for me just two days ago... you DO NOT NEED to take it to the dealer and you do NOT need to disconnect the battery, this can all be done with a couple clicks on your radio and call into that phone number.

Locked keys

Hi. I have a different Jwin model radio to yours, but they might have this in common: is there a 'hold' button on yours? If so, this is used to 'lock' all the buttons so that you don't switch it on/ change stations etc accidentally. Look for a 'key' symbol on your display, and press AND HOLD the 'hold' key until the symbol disappears. Pressing the 'hold' button briefly will make the symbol re-appear, and lock the keys again.
