Question about Toshiba 57H81 57" Rear Projection Television
Sounds like your vertical circuit is starting to go out. Probably the capacitors in that circuit. They are starting to leak and once charged up all way and warm they are holding. But it is only a matter of time before they go out and you will have the problem permanently. You should start looking for a reputable repair shop now. In fact, if you check out toshiba's website you should be able to find an authorized repair shop in your area. If there in none then check out the shops in your area. You should find one who is authorized with at least a couple of companies. Check on pricing. You should be able to get these caps replaced for around $100.00. Some companies will also come on site (yes, there are still some people who do house calls) though you will pay more for this service it saves you from draging the TV all over town. Anyway, this is not a problem you are going to be able to fix without some real electronic knowlege.
