Video down load problem

I can record videos and play them back on the computer without difficulty. I can download them to the computer. However, when I try to play back the downloaded version, I only have audio -- no video. Anyone else have this problem or any solutions?

It sounds like your computer doesn't have an MPEG-2 CODEC installed. Windows doesn't come with one on its own, you generally have to have something else installed, like a DVD player application WITH a DirectShow MPEG-2 filter. That's the usual reason for a video file playing audio-only... the video CODEC is missing.

You would think this would be on the disc that comes with the camcorder. Do they have any video player or editor of their own? Did you try it?

Anyway, you can get a free (open source) DirectShow MPEG-2 filter here: Download and install this, and... assuming you're using a compatible version of Windows, you will probably be able to play back the video in Windows Media Player.

In the future, it's a good idea to indicate things like the computer OS you're using, version, the kinds of programs you're trying to use, etc. That will help folks like me pinpoint your specific issue.

How to Play TS Video Files on Computer?
There are many worldwide TV channels like ABC, NBC, CBS, TNT, ESPN so that we can enjoy movies as we like. Is it possible to record TV shows? Of course, yes. You may find DVRs, TiVo Premiere to record your favorite TV series. You can also use TV tuner to record videos. PCTV nanoStick is one of the USB DVB-T TV tuners, which you may use to record ABC/TNT/ESPN videos.
If you record TNT video files on PC with PCTV nanoStick, you may find the output videos in .ts format. The TiVo Premiere can also produce .ts videos. To play the recorded videos on computer via home network, you may find the .ts file format is not a good choice. The general However, you can convert .ts to .mp4 for easy playback on computer players like Windows Media Player, VLC media player, QuickTime Player.
Here are the simple steps to convert recorded TV shows to computer for easy playback.
Step 1. Load recorded ABC/TNT/ESPN videos to Aunsoft Video Converter.
Run Aunsoft Video Converter as the TS Video Converter on your PC, and click the "Add" button to load the recorded videos for conversion.
Step 2. Choose H.264 MP4 output.
Click the "Format" option and choose Common Video > H.264 Video(*.mp4) to convert recorded videos from .ts to .mp4 for playing on any computer. The file format .mp4 is compatible to almost all computers, and the video compression with H.264 will keep video in high quality with small file size.
Step 3. Convert TS videos to MP4 for PC playback.

After the videos are transcoded to MP4, you can put the videos to NAS to archive the videos, and watch the videos on computer via home network. No matter your videos are from TiVo Premiere, PCTV nanoStick or DVR for TNT videos, ABC videos, you can then freely enjoy movies at home. Aunsoft Video Converter is the partner for your recorded videos for playing .ts files on computer. Toshiba dvr19dtkb2 dvd wont play on computer after transfering form video casette

The proper codec may not be loaded on your computer. Find the format your DVD recorder uses, Google for a codec for that format. Find a player that supports the code, download and install it onto your computer and then try the DVD.

I have a mv 930 digital video cam corder how to down load videos without mac

You have a couple of options besides finding a friend with a mac, and here they are: You will need to purchase an accessory for each solution that will allow you to connect your camera to your computer and download your videos.
1.You can purchase a firewire port for your computer (I'm assuming you have a desktop pc with an available expansion slot) and simply use a firewire cable to connect your camera to your computer.
This is an example of a firewire PCI card.

This option offers the highest quality results, but can be challenging and sometimes frustrating if you do not have the proper software to capture video.
2. For this second solution, you will use use an analog converter that takes the video-out signal from the AV terminal on your camera and converts it back to digital for your computer to record. This video provides an excellent demo of a product I have used in the past.
This product will come with all the accessories and software you will need to download your videos.
Good Luck!

This is quite common of older players. Some only work with DVD+R discs and others with DVD-R discs.
Some player also does not read recordable discs (an early form to try prevent piracy)
Also make sure if recorded on your Recorder, that the disc is finalized before you try to play it on an older player. (See your menu / manual on the recorder for the procedure)

No sound when I download video to my computer and play it back.

Sorry, but the ViviCam 8025 does not record any sound when in video mode. You can add a soundtrack using video-editing software on a computer, but you cannot record one on the camera.

Movies shot on FUJI's digital cameras are recorded in Motion JPEG format and can be played back using QuickTime version 3.0 or later. (You can download QuickTime from the Apple Computer site). To play back movies in Windows Media Player, download and install DirectX 8.0 or later from the DirectX website. Let us know if it fix your problem,or you need for more help. Good luck !!
