Hi i think ive solved the problem by pressing the on and off and holding the paper feed button seems to have done the trick for now anyway.
but thanks for your help.

My Rx560 jams when i send a document from the lapop via usb. It prints fine if i photocopy something so its cant be a paper jams. I ge no error code it jus says turn the printer off.

If it jams only when you print from your computer it is most certainly related to the print driver. Try updating it from the manufacturers website or reinstalling it. Also make sure that you are testing it with a simple test. Don't print from a web page, use either a simple test page first or a graphic. If these print and it is just a web page that won't print, this represents a different symptom and a different set of trouble shooting.

Epson rx560 general error

Hi,

Unfortunately a "general error" is different from the commonly assumed "service required" error.

Usually a general error comes about because of something a bit more serious than a paper jam which stops the printhead from moving around as it should, cartridge chips not reading properly, etc...

It's worth trying the following and seeing if any of them help
  • Open the printer lid and using a flashlight/torch, carefully examine the area that the printhead travels along to see if there's any foreign objects, ink soiled paper, etc.. that might be getting in the way.
  • Try getting the printhead off the parking area and check this for any parts of the cleaning station that may have dislodged or other foreign objects that do not belong
  • Remove all the cartridges, clean the chip contacts carefully with a cotton bud and check the contact wires inside the cartridge holder area for any damage.
Beyond that it's a case of looking for clues that might indicate where the problem lies.. ie: if the printhead stops in a particular place, screeching noises, etc...

Hope some of that helps narrow it down some.

RX560 photos smudged

Try to recalibrate the printer, it is provided with the installation CD came with it. OR you can also try to look for recalibration in the control panel printers. Make sure that your cartridges are not short of ink. Sometimes there is an option of alignment. These things should help you out.

Thanks.

Thanks again
