Fridge Water keeps appearing in the freezer and then drips into refrigerator. It looks like the water will freeze and build up in vents.I have no water hooked up to unit and the setting is set to what is recommended. The food in freezer is fine it stays frozen. I have cleaned the ice off but the water keeps coming back and I also checked seal on door. Thanks Mark

Re: fridge

Ok pull the cover off the back wall of the freezer compartment where the evaporator fan is after look under the evaporator should see an aluminum pan with a hole there that's the drain hole for the defrost system if its frozen and that hole is stopped up then every time it defrosts the water will run in the freezer and freeze and also drip into the fridge remove the ice and clear the hole also check the drain tube in the back to make sure its clean

Samsung refridgerator freezes due to clogged drain line.

I would look for bad door gaskets. Sounds crazy but if you have bad gaskets, you will let in more moist air and the freezer will freeze up faster. If the fridge is freezing up I would look at the slide from the freezer to the fridge and see if it is stuck open. During the defrost cycle the unit should drain and fill the drain pan, but the normal operation of the compresser should be able to evaporate the water with ease. Look at the door gaskets and the vent. Good luck

Hotpoint model #ctxy14epjrwh slow water drip from inside of the refrigerator. inside the top of the frig, center, there are several components that appear to come down from the freezer. the lowest one...

That water is from the melting frost of the automatic defrost cycle. Their is drain in the freezer behind the back wall under the evaperator coil that is blocked, so instead of defrost water draining it's pooling in the freezer or in some case espically on models with the freezer on the top,the water is leaking from the freezer vents into the fresh food compartment.
The way to clear the drain is remove back plate and remove all ice build up and GENTLY make a small hole in drain through then totally flush w/warm water.
The exact location of drain is under the coil behind back freezer plate in the centeroldtech2332_52.jpg

Whirlpool refrigerator is not cooliing refrigerator half not sure evaporator fan working model et1mhkxmb08

If the fan is working, then there is likely ice build-up in the vent between fridge and freezer. If you remove the farthest rear panel in the freezer and then pull the venting in the fridge and clean out all the ice, then the air can flow to the fridge again. It is also recommended to keep coils and compressor free of dust and make sure the drain hose is allowing water to drain into the drip tray in the back bottom of the unit.

Kenmore elite - Water dripping from freezer to refrigerator

Your refrigerator has a defrost drain blockage behind the evaporator in your your freezer compartment. Some models like yours have leak in the turns as the water leaves the freezer. I recommend that you unplug and remove the cover to the evaporator and check the defrost condensate tray below the evaporator. A wet vacuum cleaner and poring a solution with clorox in the drain will help you clean locate the leak and where the blockage may be downline.. I do have the manual on yours and can help you solve this. Some times this is a factory defect and I can help you solve the freezing drain problem. Let me know, Sea Breeze

Water accumulating in bottom of freezer and leaking onto floor

Yes the drain is clogged and the water that supouse to go through became ice so it make it worse.Put hot water in the drain hole until it runs through,it'll go to an evaporative pan on top of the compresor to keep it warm and vaporize the water.
