I have a Bose Wave Music System with add-on 4 cd changer attached. The top portion (radio & 1-cd function) is working fine. The 4 cd changer is not working, I keep getting an error message and none of the 4 slots will play cds. Is there any way/ any place to have this repaired without having to buy an entirely new system?

I had a similar problem. No discs would play and sometimes they would not eject. I solved my problem with the crevice tool on my vacuum cleaner. I vacuumed out all the openings on the unit, especially the cd slots. This discs now play and eject.

Bose does not release their schematics or parts lists, effectively making themselves the only repair center for their products. Your only safe repair method is to contact the service/repair center at www.bose.com. They will likely offer you a flat rate repair or credit towards the purchase of a new unit.

Bose wave radio/CD three CD changer component is playing for about 4 minutes then saying "disc error" and stopping. My primary unit is working fine.

Obviously the laser reader in the unit is picking up interference from dirt or misalignment. You may have to open it up to get to the aser parts to clean them.

Wave Music system Multi-CD Changer

The unit has a power supply problem, no user servicable parts inside. Bose uses a thermal fuse built into the power transformer. Take unit apart and check for connection issues first, then look for a possible fuse, if none exist chances are it is in the power transformer, contact Bose for service.

Can the new 5 cd changer work with the older Bose

It will work as a manually-operated AUX input, but since there was no remote for the original system so that function won't be available.

CD stuck in BOSE 3 disk stack player

I had the same problem and went to the Bose Tech Support site and found this solution. It allowed me to eject the stuck CD. The same problem happened again when I tried to enter another CD but after repeating the process below the CD ejected again and after that it worked fine.
Hope it works for you.
  • Try performing a reset with your Wave® music system upside down:
    1. Unplug the system, flip it upside down, place it on a firm, level surface, then plug it back in again

    2. If the CD ejects when you do this, the system may need to be serviced. Contact Bose® Technical Support or call 1-800-278-1281

    Wave CD changer

Could try a CD lens cleaner disc, but this will just as likely get stuck inside. Far better to contact Bose for a repair - sounds like a problem in the changer mechanism
