Bosh dish washer has a plastic fitting for the water inlet looks like regular plastic not cpvc for hot water ,I was reading some of the question and answers and one say hot one says cold?

If the machine has only 1 fill hose, I would connect it to the cold tap. If you connect to hot only, the machine goes through its cycle too fast and wont wash as good. The machine stays on a wash cycle until it heats up the water. If you connect to hot water, it will do a shorter wash because it doesn't have to heat the water up as much. The shorter wash time, decreases how good the wash result is.

Hi my machine will fill with water then doesn't do anything for the whole wash cycle then will dran and spin but will not wash in the wash cycle

Hi, it could be your heater element is not kicking in and so its not heating up the water and not moving on to the next stage of washing. Best get the unit checked out.

Changing washing machine heating elemant

washers dont have heating elements, they use hot water from the hot water tank, most likely clogged screen at either end of the hot water hose, replace or clean screen(s) check for screen at water valve, bad, weak or burned solenoid on water valve, replace valve, reason wash cycle is long----- water restriction during fill and rinse cycles they are controlled by the water level switch

I have a Whirlpool washer. It will fill and run through the first cycle and then stop... What would cause this?

I would pretty much guess it's a faulty heating element. After the machine stops after filling with water and running a while to get the clothes wetit stops to heat the water. Listen carefully to hear the water heating up, it sound simular to an electric kettle. If this does not happen the program is unable to advance.

Whirlpool auto load not filling with water to wash, but will go to rinse cycle

There are 2 inlet valves 1 for hot water and 1 for cold. Sounds like your hot water valve is either faulty or the hot water valve to it is off. The machine normally fills with hot water as it doesn't have a heating element to heat the water and fills with the cold water to rinse

Hi Bill
What happens when you do a tea ? (hot water only, NOT the steam button) do you also get little water ?
The fact that you are getting steam is good as there are 2 heating systems in the unit.
Have you ran the descaling recently (if you do not use filter ) ?
If you have or use a filter the problem is likely to be at the rear of the machine, however the back contents all the power and you will need to be happy to do some stripping down of the machine,
In the back you have the pump, valves, heater etc.
I am just about to draw up a flow chart of the water system inside the machine and have it published online (couple of days).
Are you happy to strip machine down ?

This sounds like your water fill valve is bad and will need to be replaced.
