my grandaughter was given a mp3 player. we are trying to download songs. I plug it up to the usb port and the light comes on. It does not show up a new hardware. On the side is FC youtopia model no. 68608 The front says Bath &body works. How can I get my computer running win XP to recognize this player and to download it

when i try to download songs it says media is write protected. What does that mean?

make sure the little "lock" button is unlocked when u plug it in
