I had the repair man out today. There is a circuit board in the center that controls the two side ones. There are two smaller circuit boards that then control each side separately. My problem was on the left side but the origin was a faulty main circuit board. He replaced it and it works great. [$600] He said the circuit boards cost the same, whether large main or small side. It only took him about 20 minutes. He said this is a problem with plasma TVs but that in the long run, you save by just getting it fixed rather than buying a new one. He also said that the new plasmas have more problems and are not as well made. He said if I was to replace my older projection TV with a plasma to get the extended warranty, as many years and I could afford, because I would need it. He also said that LG brand is a good brand and the problem is not brand specific. It is found in all brands.

I have an LG plasma, my vertical line is in the middle, as if one would have ... Panasonic Plasma TV TC-P50X5 Vertical GreenBar Line Fix ...
I assume you mean that your screen is showing signs of stress 7 the picture quality is suffering. This would mean a replacement screen is needed & as this is very costly then it is more economical to buy a new TV instead.
It is called "Thin vertical lines" and change colors depending on the background color. It is fixable but there are several components that can show this sympton.
You will need a tech to fix it in order to save money (because you do not want to buy a board you dont know if will fix it). Possible Solutions: Replace Timer Control Board, if it is not fixed Replace Sustain Board.
One of those boards needs to be replaced and I wrote the most likely first.
If the Video (Picture/Pix) is gone but you can hear the Audio (sound), then it could mean the YSUS PCB Assembly is gone/kaput/finish. Can replace the PCB, not repair the PCB due to timing circuitry involve. Cost maybe roughly $500 depending where you located. The PCB is located on the left hand side of your TV when you are facing the back (Back open). Might find 3-4 brown flex membrane connecting to the plasma panel. The PCB has a silver or black aluminum heatsink (big) on it. Good Luck.
I have a samsung 42 in plasma television which is three years old, it has a blue flickering light to the right of the television, sometimes can see some at the top in the middle, hope you can help with this problem, is it repairable.
