Hi greg_shanoia,

The F1:-4 error code means "Runaway Clean Lower oven". You need to check the oven temperature sensor, replace if necessary.

Hope it helps.

Maytag Gemini Stove Code F1-4 (bottom door won't open)

F-1 error is a Temperature Runaway. It Maytag's way of letting you know that oven overheated. Nothing you have done but it may have shorted out the oven sensor or the keypad. Check the sensor and see if it's closed. If it's okay, replace the keypad.

Maytag Gemini top oven, the bottom element does not get hot. I replaced the element with a new one from maytag. what is the problem?

Hello jrlibs

You said, Your Maytag Gemini top oven, the bottom element does not get hot. You replaced the element with a new one from Maytag. Asking what is the problem?

1.What is the model number and the year of your Gemini Range?
2.Was there an error code that came up before you changed the heat element?
3.If yes what was the code?

4.Did you check for current in the connection leading to the element before you installed the new one? Or just plug it in hoping for the best?

Waiting for your reply!

F1 Error Code on MayTag range

migs, on a Maytag the F1 indicates there is a problem with the touch-pad or control itself. Usually, it's the touch pad. Try killing the power to the range and remove the touch pad ribbon from the control board. Clean it with an eraser. Power back up and see if the error comes back. If it does, remove the ribbon cable again and power up with-out it attached. If the same error still returns, then I would suspect the control board itself. back.
