Question about Motorola Mobility Moto Q

1 Answer

Keypad is not functioning correctly

As I am typing on the Q's keypad different letters will come on the screen even though I am not pressing them. For example as I press the letter "a" the letter "a" will appear as well as the letter "J". This happens often. This problem happens with every letter and button on the phone's keypad. I took the battery out in an attempt to reset the phone as well as updating with the network using "*288".

My black jack II is completely frozen. It wont load anything. I cant even send or recieve text messages or go anywhere from the main screen. I have taken the battery out several times but it hasnt helped....

Yes my friend, there is a reboot reset function on the Blackjack 2 SGH-i617.

reminder: "This following steps will delete all files on the phone memory"

*you just have to remove the sim card & memory card.
*Phone should be Off.
*(on the spinning wheel) press & hold the upper side so that you'll be *pressing the UP navigation key. Then while holding that button down, *you need to press & hold the power button.

It will go to the format screen then press #1, it will ask you if you want to delete the files, press the letter "Y" on the keypad then the phone will reboot.

Texting-skip a line

Simple! just click on the blank space beside the letters that you've typed in and press '0' or 'space' again.

Theres another option though, in message editing mode, select the icon with the pen and 'A' on the top left corner. Usually the first option of the 3. it'll change ur message editing mode to a QWERTY keypad.

And you can just press space all you want ;)

Re: Bug with Phone virtual number pad
I've found the answer to this problem!

Part of the problem is that the screen blacks out shortly after a call is connected.
When that happened I pressed the green phone button to get the keyboard back.

This keyboard image is a dummy. It visually responds to your touch but does not send the signal.

After you dial and your call is connected look at the bottom of the screen and you'll see that the normal menu tab changes and appears with the number 5 and letters jkl on it.

Pull it up with your finger. THIS is the keypad you must use when within a call to send number signals. I tested it and confirmed that it works.

If you have pulled up the dummy keyboard by pressing the green call button from within a call then simply hit the BACK button to see the real keypad tab.

If the screen has gone black and you need to light it up again then you can press BACK, HOME, or MENU to see the real keypad tab -- press anything BUT the green call button (which will give you the dummy keypad).

This dummy keypad is a true design flaw but knowing how to get to the functional one makes it an annoyance not a hindrance to using the phone.

Keypad lock on nokia 6670

That was a simple question but you can get applications for locking the keypad automatically also like the previous non-Symbian phones.

But if you dont want auto key-lock,
Press the left soft-key
and then the * key to lock the keypad.
Remember, the menu key is different from the left soft-key.

Do the same to unlock the keypad.

Remember to rate me.

It has a qwerty keyboard/keypad so the "Caps Lock" key just below the "Tab" key on the left side of the phones keyboard/keypad and pressing it once should turn Caps Lock off. And BTW the "Shift" key should only Capitalize the next letter keyed.
