How do I change a Laser Unit in my Sharp AR-162 copier?

I have the part and just need to get instructions how to open up the machine and change the laser unit. I've been searching to try to find free downloads of the manual but everyone wants to charge. Can anyone help?

Error Code E7-11 on a Sharp AR-287 photocopier

This code is related to laser unit functioning problem. Power the machine off and on and if it appears again, do the following;
  1. Open document glass and clean inside mirrors and document glass with a clean dry soft cloth and test.
  2. Check flat cable that connects copy lamp and attach firmly from the main board.
  3. Replace the laser unit if the above fails.
Ask for assistance if you doubt from a qualified technician and you will succeed.

I am assuming you mean laser radiation from the laser unit that the copier uses to write the images on the drum. if correct, normally when front door cover is open the laser unit is disabled and no laser radiation is present and therefore it is safe.

Sharp AR-M160 H4 error code

Clearing a trouble code on a AR-M160 is a little different than the AR160.

Try "#" "interrupt" "clear" "interupt" "1" "4" "start key"

This should clear the error. Even if you replace the fusion unit you will need this code to clear the error
