Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone
I have given a lock code but by mistake i have forgotten my code and tried to open it by using the wrong code.now the phone is being disabled.how wil i reset it.plz reply
Here are the steps that you will do
hold the home botton and ON/OFF at the same time until the phone is OFF and ON when you see the apple logo release the ON/OFF botton but still hold the home botton until you see the USB connect.
hint: need to connect the phone and USB before to do this and the itune must open.

Turn off your iPhone the usual way, then hold down the 'home button' for a few seconds continue holding the button while plugging in your iPhone into your computer a picture of a cable should come up and and an arrow pointing to the iTunes icon. A link should come up in iTunes click it then click restore and follow the links. easy :)

All you need to do is turn off your iphone then hold the home button then hold the power button when the apple sign pops up let go of power button and hold the home button for another 30 seconds and should have the itunes logo and a usb port logo to sync it that means you set it back to its factory setting but sadly you loose all of your data hope it works

I tried this today on a disabled iphone, which at the start my pc itunes did not recognize. however i did have to do it twice. but it worked 100%, as ive tried many other ways which failed.
Here are your instructions from the website below.
Forgotten your iPhone Passcode?
If you have forgotten your iPhone's Passcode you will need to restore your phone via iTunes.
But first you have to put your phone into the restore mode which is a slightly fiddly process.
Plug your iPhone into your PC or Mac with the USB cable
Press and hold the power button at the top and then slide to power off the iPhone
Press the power button to power the iPhone on and keep it held while simultaneously pressing the home button
After a few seconds a yellow alert triangle will appear and the iPhone will say it is iPhone Restore Mode.
Open up iTunes and click on the Summary tab
Click on Restore to restore your iPhone. This will reset all your iPhone's setting to the factory defaults, including the Passcode. You should then follow the steps above to activate the Passcode with a memorable number Source(s): http://www.knowyourmobile.com/appleiphon…

I had same problem. My son tried password many time and it got disabled with following warning.
"iPhone is disabled connect to iTunes"
I know password but couldnt open... as it got disabled.
I connected to itune but no change to display same message.., didnt know what to do. I didnt want to restore my old backup. So i tried taking backup.
(right click on iphone under devices left side and say backup.) this will display sync in progress on iphone. In middle of sync press home button and it will prompt you for password. Type password and enable your iphone.
Iphone is 10 years behind Nokia/Sony and other mobile vendors. They can’t seem to provide good documentation for such common problem.
Iphone is useless phone. At least give basic features like copy/paste, SMS forwarding, deleting songs, creating directory etc…

U hold the home button and the off button at the same time until its completely off. wen its off , hold the on and home button at the same time and then wen the apple logo pos up, u let go off the on button but continue to press the home button and then the usb and cd and itunes screen should pop up on you ipod .. wen that happens unplugg the usb and then plug it bak up and a screen on ur computer on itunes will say cannot connect ti iphone bcuz of passcode. jus press try again until a screen that gives u an option to restore pops up... wen it does restore it and ur good to go!!!

Hey, my phone had the same problem because my boyfriend tried to figure out the passcode too many times...idiot. I tried connecting the same as above just for the hell of it, plugging in and out the USB cord to my computer while connected to my phone. Well, miraculously, it worked!

If you forgot your passcode for your iphone or your friend disabled it you can re able it. First you open your itunes and then plug your iphone in. Then you click on your iphones sign. after that you will see the restore sign and there will be 4 options on the bottom. 1 will say encrypt iphone backup you select that first. if you already had done that before then un select it and then plug in your iphone again. then select it and itunes will backup your iphone after that it will ask for your passcode again. you can do this a lot of times i think.

Either through fat fingers, an errant Bluetooth keyboard, or a complete brain loss, sometimes we not only get the passcode to our device wrong, but we get completely locked out. Apple gives us 6 tries before you get a time-based cooling off period, but eventually if you keep trying (and failing) your device is disabled. What then? Well, the solutions are easy, but the most important thing is planning ahead to lessen the pain. Because all the solutions have a certain degree of "ouch" factor to them.
Apple has a support article on this very topic: iOS: Device disabled after entering wrong passcode. Which if you read the scenarios, well, you might be cursing a lot more. However, after I tell you how to get back to a usable device, I'll tell you how to lessen the pain that the solution causes.

In iTunes, select the iPhone in the "Devices" list, then "Summary" at the top of the screen. If iTunes doesn't automatically synchronize your iPhone, do so manually
Click "Check for Update." iTunes tells you if there is a newer version of the iPhone software available.
Click Restore. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process. When restoring, it is recommended that you backup the iPhone when prompted.
When iOS Setup Assistant asks to set up your iPhone, choose "Restore from iTunes backup."
Select your device in iTunes and choose the most recent backup of your iPhone.
You'd better not forgot iPhone passcode any more.

Re-sync it with iTunes and reactivate it.
Might have to download the firmware package and reinstall it through iTunes.
That's the secret for getting Apple service on unlocked phones. Re-sync to relock, get service, go home then re-unlock. People do it all the time

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
