Frozen - Mpio HD-300 MP3 Player Problem

I wonder if you can help. My mp3 player seems to have frozen. When switched on the logo appears, the HD can be heard spinning, there is single click, thereafter, nothing - just the logo. I've tried resetting but it's still the same. I've tried connecting it to the PC but it isn't being recognised. I've checked in 'my computer' there is no new hardware or HD300, nothing on 'safely remove hardware' either. Tried reformatting but it didn't work as the mp3 player doesn't seem to be connected to the pc. Battery charges ok & is fully charged.

Re: Frozen - Mpio HD-300 MP3 Player Problem

Sounds like the player can't see it's hard drive, not much you can do if the drive is dead. If it's under warranty then have it fixed.

BRAND NEW MPIO HD300 Completely DOA!

It's a reasonably straightforward task. There are 2 screws at either side (near the top) of the player. You'll need a small Alan-key to remove these. Once this is done, carefully prise off the back cover and you'll be able to see the battery - at the back. Just un-clip the battery cable. - You might want to check the connection in the first instance, if however, the battery needs replacing see replacment battery model number below: -

Hope this heps

Frozen screen/ can't turn it off

Try the reset button which is pin-sized hole on bottom right when looking at the HD-400. You will need paper-clip to press it.
