Re: Blue colour spread

I have the exact same problem except it's blue and it's a Sharp XG-NV6XU. It's showing the fault even there is no source at all. Please help.

Re: Blue colour spread

I don't think it's good advise to suggest changing the lamp to see if it solves the problem. The lamp is too expensive to use as a hit and miss diagnostic procedure. If the brightness of the projector has deteriorated than maybe it would be the lamp although it there could still be other causes but showing a bluish image I seriously doubt that it's the lamp that's causing this. What we don't know is if the projector is showing this fault with either a computer source or a video source or both or even with no source at all. If it's just the computer source then the most common fault is the data cable used.

Re: Blue colour spread

  1. Reset the projector to factory defaults,Change sources. Try plugging the projector into another computer. If the color problem persists, check the cables for bent or broken pins. If any pins are damaged, the cable will need to be replaced with an InFocus-approved cable.
  2. Upgrade the projector firmware. If the projector still will not display the image, it is possible that there is an internal problem that requires repair.

Does not turn on all 4 lights lit up on face of unit

Most likely the lamp is burned out. Check the lamp and if it is bad, replace it (unplug projector while you replace the lamp). If it turns on, reset the lamp counter and you're all done!
Be sure to weigh the cost of the new lamp vs replacing this 6-8 year old projector!

Infocus IN34 all indicator lights on

Power Supply problem. Check for "Bulged" capacitors in the output circuit ( 5 parts 470uf @ 16VDC). Also an indication of this problem is to remove the lamp cover and plug in the AC power cord. If the fans run slow....this is the problem.

Projector Works for one minute then the lamp goes out.

sounds like a fan not working or a bad power supply/ballast. If it is a fan that is not working it will cause it to shut down. That would either be a bad fan or bad main board. But, if all fans are working, most likely it's the power supply/ballast.

Infocus in34 bulb replaced now won't light back up can't get bulb to work to get to menus

looks like you power supply is defective. My best guess is that this is the first time in a while that you have physically disconnected the projector from power. If the power button on the projector doesn't come on its your power supply. Need to send it to a repair shop, or someone like me that can repair projectors.

We have an InFocus LP70+. we have had a dark strip along the right side of the projected image. That dark strip has spread across so that now we only have a strip of the image along the left side. Not sure...

the light tunnel (integrator rod) has collapsed and needs to be replaced. you could either buy the part from an infocus service center or send it in to one for repair. it is, however, a pretty involved repair. if you are mechanically inclined, then try it. otherwise, send it in. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good.
