My 57hx81 has a slight concave bow in the middle of the screen from top to bottom. Can I solve this by adjusting any values in the service menu? Or do I need to recalibrate the tv (geometry, 56 point convergence, ect)?
Sounds like a problem in the vertical sweep circuit. Check voltages to your convergence ICs. If they are not to spec then look for bad fuses and capacitors on the power board. These will throw off the DC voltage to the convergence chips causing the bow effect. I've had a single bad pico fuse ($1) cause this symptom.
Without seeing it myself I'm unsure. However it sounds from your second post like this is a minor bow in the image. The kind I'm referring to is more drastic, approaching 2" below where it should be. Sp before you tear into the set I would certainly look at the service menu settings and see if that helps.
The best I've found for the service manual is here:

That should have the info you need.

Sounds like the blue convergence circuit still not working.
Assuming both IC's are good, look for open soldered-in pico fuse.
Once bowing problem is solved, then convergence should adjust ok.

The picture looks perfectly fine there's just a concave bow throughout the middle of the screen. When watching ESPN there's always straight lines across the screen and it's just annoying. Would I still be looking for a capacitor or pico fuse in the vertical sweep?

I don't have the service manual for this tv, nor do I know where to start troubleshooting. How do I do the 56 point convergence? All of the other tv's I've repaired (Mitsubishi, Hitachi, RCA, ect) had something similar.
Also the picture also has a lesser bow in on each side.
