Hold the Volume Up and On Button until the Recovery Console appears. You can back up and reinstall.

If that doesn't work you will have to do a Full Factory Reset. Hold Volume Up button, On button and Home button for 12 seconds. This will scrub everything back to a clean operating system, so I hope you have a backup somewhere.

How can I get back into my tablet. I forgot user pattern code and email address

you will need to do a Factory Reset and scrub everything off the tablet. Don't set lock codes or patterns if you can't remember them.

Press and hold the Power Button and the Volume Up button until the Recovery Console appears. You may be able to back up before you Reset.

Your email address is neither here nor there in regards to the problem, but for heavens sake, WRITE STUFF DOWN!

Polatab tablet. Why is it indicating 'unfortunately settings have stopped working'?

Too many apps probably and not enough memory left for the OS so it just gives up and crashes either that or an app you added recently has caused the problem - you can either remove some apps to free up memory or recently installed apps or execute a full wipe and reload of the tablet os by pressing the power button and up volume then selecting the required option from the recovery menu!

I hard reset my nextbook flexx 10, 8.1 windows tablet, but it wont do anything but this. ( look at picture).

Hi Anonymous

I've seen that screen more than a few times in the past on Windows. it often comes from Windows updates not installing correctly and corrupting the update history. The advice I have from my own experience is fairly general. Try starting in Safe Mode. If you can get it booted there, run/re-run Windows Update, or look at the screen and history to see if there are one or more failed updates, and see if you can (re)run them successfully.

In any case, if you can get Windows to boot, safe mode or no, get your data backed up ASAP.

Unfortunately, not long after that, most IT departments I've ever dealt with just roll their eyes and do a clean OS install and restoration of data from a backup. If it's been backed up recently, the re-install and then sitting through a dozen re-starts as the Windows Updates install is a pain, but in the long run might be faster than trying to track this down.

Good Luck

The lap top will not switch on

Power the tablet back up by holding down the volume (either + or - ) and power buttons simultaneously. Continue holding the volume button until the screen says "Booting tablet in recovery mode." This will give you a picture of an Android. Tap the android, and you will be given a screen with several options. Move between the options with the + and -, and select with the power button.

select Reboot Tablet Normally.

No none of that stuff works i've tried everything available under the F8 option. i've done everything recommended to repair my lap top. i mean there like anyway i can jus whipe my whole pc ...

Hi, Yes as a matter of fact you can re-format the whole enchilada by " finding " an " original equipment manufacturers " operating system c.d./d.v.d. then all you will have to do is choose boot from disc right after you power it on-you may even luck out and be provided with a " repair windows installation " option! then if it asks for one-and only if the brand of "OEM windows operating system " you have match your laptop-enter in the number from your Windows sticker on back. Hope this was of some assistance. Prodzilla.

No sound out of toshiba lap top

No, you need to install the sound drivers. They have got deleted, maybe because of your mistake or reinstallation of Windows.

Go to your manufacturer's site and search for the drivers for your model. You can download the sound drivers and install it. All done.
