Here is the steps for the diagnostic and possible solution.
Reset the router, power cycle. if you see it in the list of the available wireless networks connect Type 192.168.2.1 on address bar of your browser. You will see the default configuration of router. Set the parameters as you like.

Are you running the autosetup program from a cd?
Click the start menu
Click the Computer icon on the right
Locate the optical drive icon under Removable Storage (it will probably be labelled Belkin)
Click the icon with the right mouse button and select Open from the list that appears
Now look for an icon labelled setup or something that has a belkin logo or something similar.
Click the icon with the right mouse button and select Run as Administrator from the list that appears. (if you cant find run as administrator then it is the wrong icon, try another.)
Does it work now?
If not, do you have a friend with a laptop that is running XP or Vista that you could borrow just to run the setup?
If the wireles light is flashing Amber .. Some one outside your house is trying to access the Wireless network . If it is always flashing amber.. try with a Firmware update available in belkin.com/au/support.
I have 2 x Belkin N1 vision dsl (cable) routers. One is connected fine with Virgin 20 meg broadband. Is it possible to use the other N1 vision router as a range extender up stairs to get better signal , without using any cat5 cabling ? I.e router-to-router
The connectivity issue with your Belkin router could be due to a couple of different items. Your ISP might even be able to shed a little light on the subject.
I would also go to Belkin's website, and go to the support area by clicking on Support Center in the left pane of the sight. You can then search for your product number. With the results that you receive, you will be able to see what version of firmware they have, which is like doing a software upgrade on your computer. There should also be a step by step process on the website for you to install the firmware. I would do it from a desktop that is connected physically to the router.
Please let me know if you would like further assistance with this matter. Thank you.
