Re: system perfomance monitor : Warning

Try Adaware by Lavasoft. Then go to and run Housecall with Malware support. Download HiJackThis v2.0 but be careful when running. you can remove the wrong thing very easily. Google file names before you check the box to "Fix" anything. To remove the stubborn Malware apps, try KillBox.

Re: system perfomance monitor : Warning

Best solution I have is to download and install Adaware, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Rogue Remover. Google these three and get the latest free versions. None of them will remove everything alone, but the combination is very effective. You might also consider changing your anti-virus software, personally I like AntiVir, but that's a personal choice.
All of these programs are free, and I use them quite a bit.

Good luck!

Possible spyware has been detected

Try installing a program called adware, its free and can remove any spyware you may be getting. Try that and then see how it goes, you shouldn't have to run a recovery just for a bit of spyware.

HP DV6000 cd/dvd ejecting

For the first issue, the cause can be a Spyware or Hardware.
To come to a conclusion, if the Tray of the DVD Drive ejects immideatly after you close the Tray and remove your finger from it, the issue is with the Holding machanism of the Drive.
Also, try checking the status of the Drive tray in BIOS by followint the steps below :
Start the Notebook and start tapping the F10 key immideatly after the HP logo appears which will take you to the BIOS Setup window.
If the tray of the DVD Drive ejects repeatedly even in the BIOS, the issue is with the Drive hardware and needs a replacement.
However, if the tray of the DVD Drive ejects after some gap after booting into the Operating System and not immideatly it is closed, the issue can be with infection of Spyware in the Notebook.
In this situation, you need to scan the Notebook for spyware using Antispyware applications like Spybot from the link below :

Download and install the application and make sure that the application is updated by connecting the Notebook to Internet and scan for Spyware.
Clean any Spyware entries that are found in the Notebook.
Hope this will be helpful......

Problems with explorer.exe (windows xp)

You might have a case of spyware on your system! But that's a maybe! Its telling you "Explorer.exe not responding" message probably cause explorer.exe is busy! The reason i think its spyware is cause the problem started when you first connected to internet(spyware breeding ground) Explorer.exe is the main Windows Shell (Start menu, desktop and so forth). When you log in to your computer, it starts and runs until either you log off or shutdown! Try getting an anti-spyware solutions if you don't have one already! try AVG Anti-spyware, its pretty good! Install it, update it and do a scan. If that doesn't help then I might need more information. 1.)Go to 2.)download this utility - HijackThis 3.)double click on it(it extracts) 4.)go to c:\program files\hijackthis\ Doubleclick on the Hijackthis.exe 5.)Click ok at the warning 6.)Click on Do A system Scan and Save a log file 7.)When the log file pops up in notepad, Select All, copy, and Post it back to this Post! 8.)Close the hijackthis! Warning! Be careful with the hijackthis program! don't do anything else with it unless of course you know what you are doing! Good Luck! Regards, Babb Good Luck, Babb
