Question about Dell 1710n Laser Printer
We finally took our 1710 to a printer repair shop. He got it working and thought it was a problem with a change in the cartridges used in this machine. He said that they had updated the cartridges but the oldest 1710s could not recognise the newer toners (with the same model #) as correct.
I have no idea if this is the real problem, but he did get it up and running for us. Dell has an updated version of the firmware on their website, don't know if it would help since the description of the firmware just says it updates the daylight savings dates.

Not a solution - - but - - don't listen to the Dell idiots.
I've been through two 1710 and 1710n printers and it continues to happen.
No solution have I found.

It's in the menu, under settings. reset to default and then power cycle it again...sounds like your memory is a bit corrupted(comes from power glitches)
