I have had an XBOX 360 for 2 years. It was working great then I moved into a new home. When I try to connect it to the same tv, i get sound but no picyure. I looked up the trouble shoot with the microsoft site (push "y" button with right trigger as you turn on the console to set it back to default ) but that does not do the trick?! I tried to hook it up to another tv and I get sound but no piture there too. HELP!

Re: XBOX 360 no picture
Try diffrent connectors composite instead of componant or vis versa. the wireless for the controls doesnt work on mine. I havent been able to find alot of replacement parts for the 360. I think you will end up having to send it in or by a used Core system for $200 from ebgames or ebay.. You could also try holding down the power button for 10 seconds. i heard that resets it as well.

I imagine you have bought the new slim Xbox 360? Did you use a HDMI cable to connect it to your TV or did you use the standard cable? If you used a standard AV cable ensure that you connected the red and white cables into the same AV input as the yellow video cable.
prolly the laser you can buy one on ebay for 15-20$ or buy a new dvd drive for 50$ if you replace the laser you will need to solder for the dvd drive all you will have to do is open the case and pull out the broken one and put in the new one
Does his TV have other RCA in ports? If so, he should try connecting the 360 to the other one as it could be defective. If he connects a DVD player to the same ports, does he get the same problem? What sort of cables is he using? If he's using a component cable (RGB or YPbPr), he should try using a normal RCA cable. Also, when connecting the 360 to the other TV sets, did you use the same cables he used when he connected it to his TV set? If not, you should try switching the cable.
HDMI carrys no sound you still need to have the audio cables from the component plugged into the tv. If this doesnt do the trick you should call MS or check your TV's settings maybe there is a special function when using that resolution. Hope this helps.
I have it and it works great!
For all TVs, the TV have to be on fixed settings on standard, dot-by-dot mapping, noise reduction off. The camera's exposure the same for both side-by-side shots.
Just set it on standard and it should work...
