Question about Memory Cards & USB Flash Drives

Memory card error due to moisture on card

I have a Memory card error due to moisture on my memory card. I have tried CardRecovery and ZAR softwares to no avail. They report no data on card and that all the sectors are bad. It is my girlfriend's, daughter's memory card, she had a couple hundred pictures on it and had not saved them elsewhere. Dog picked up card when we changed cards. No outside damage but apparently the dog's saliva ruined the card. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Re: Memory card error due to moisture on card

What kind of memory card is it? I think this may help... I accidentally left my USB in my pocket while in the laundry and when it was dried, it worked. Try putting it in front of the sun or find a hot spot and let all the water evaporate. This process may take a week.

Hope this helped!

Photos on two separate memory cards are "read error" seems to be the pictures in the middle sections of the memory card. They won't show up either when tried to download onto computer. I...

you can try asoftech photo recovery software. You can see
It tells the steps how to perform photo recovery.

If above does not work, you may have to format the memory card (use quick format), and then use above mentioned software to scan again the memory card and recover your files.

I accidentally deleted my wedding & honeymoon pictures from my camera, is there any way they can be retrieved?

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download this picture recovery software from
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

My card is barely a year old and suddenly says it's defective and I can't retrieve any of my pictures. How can.I.get them back?

You can use this software to try an recover pictures, If that doesn't work, you can still use the card again, but you will lose all your pictures. You would format your card from within your camera. You are looking for "Format" probably within the settings portion of your camera.

okay if you need to recover there is a program called ZAR that will allow you to still read and recover the pictures, it may rename them but you can still recover them. i use this program all the time for failed memory cards or hard drives

thats the website, there is a trial version

Corrupt sd memory card

Use PC Inspector, a free tool that recovers data from corrupted media:

Also try ZAR Recovery. It is only a trial, but the limitation is that you can only recover 3 folders at a time. In the case of an SD card, there won't be many folders, so you can use this quite effectively.
