What do you mean you pc won't share connection?
Is it not logging onto the WiFi?
You say you havegood signal; if so then your pc isn't loggiong onto the WiFi..

Since you don't have a CD, you'll have to hook up an external one to use the install disks. Alternatively, if you are networked, you can share the CD drive on another computer on your network and install from there. From the Asus you would open the network connection, go to the CD you just shared, and click on the Works setup.

you can setup file sharing on a different pc that has a cd drive and run the cd from that pc to your notebook.

1. Turn off Password Protected sharing.
2. Google how to share files between Vista and XP computers.
3. Blame Microsoft.

memory cards need to be reseated they have been knocked loose and the motherboard uses shared memory for video and with memory cards loose no video but lights are lit.

Well you have to share something from both the computers.
Right click on a folder or a file and go to Properties- go to the Sharing tab, and where it says Network sharing and security, thick "Share this folder on the network".

If you do this for the first time it should be a wizard. Remember you have to do this thing at both of the computers. And another thing: be carefull at the workgroup. It would be better if two computers would have the same workgroup

You will see the sharing from the other computer: open a Windows Explorer- go to My Network Places- Entire Network and you should see the folder shared from the other computer.

To see if you succesfully shared a folder check the icon of the foloder. If it has a little hand, that holds the folder, than it is shared

You'll need to open up your laptop's firewall settings to allow Bearshare access to it's Peer-to-Peer network. Do not install any optional programs that come with Bearshare and only share files that you have the digital rights to.

Using any Peer-to-Peer program opens up your computer to file sharing so be careful to read through the user guide to protect the files on your computer that you don't want to share.

for windows xp you man set up the connection via cable or bluetooth and ms active sync - the htc (windows mobile) is able to use the hosts network connection.
you may also set up an ad-hoc wlan on you eee and turn on internet connection sharing for your mobile broadband connection. if you connect your eee to the ad-hoc wlan it should be able to access the internet
