Why doesn't your camera work?

If you bought a new computer it probably has Windows 7 installed and the Dell 720 may not be compatible. You can try downloading the Vista drivers from Dell here. They may work with Windows 7. If not, you'll need to replace the printer with a later, Windows 7 compatible one.

There are a problem with LAN connectivity.First you have to install the LAN driver compatible with VISTA not for XP.After that you have to call to ISP provider to re-configure your system on LAN .

this is a problem for at least a thousand fixya customers. unfortunately until the manufacturer releases a supported vista driver . this cam is obsolete. hardware companies got with microsoft and actually paid them to insure most of the older stuff would not work on vista. i doubt there will ever be a driver for that model cam ever.

If your camera driver is is Windows 98 and your trying VISTA, you probably now own a rock. Vista don't like noone. If it can't autofind for software, try XP

Take it back and get him a different camera, I hate to tell you that those special pics may never be recovered. I have been looking for help everywhere for this crappy cam and the pics are so bad you can't hardly see anything even in good light. I still have not gotten the software to work at all. It is junk and they need to get them off the shelves I paid 35.00 for my son's and it isn't worth one penny! Sorry that you lost out on such a important historical moment hope you used your camera too.

Windows Vista is not the greatest at working on proprietary machines with drivers intended for XP. Can you get a driver from SONY for the motion eye that supports VISTA? I had Vista on my new machine (Dell) for all of 3 minutes before I uninstalled it and put a brand new copy of XP on. It's stable -- and works. Vista is squirrelly.

It's a hardware incompatibility with windows vista. for example your graphics card on your Inspiron might not be fully supported in windows vista and your Laptop's graphics card is supported by Vista. Most of the times we can find this incompatibility is with graphics cards. Download and install the newest drivers for your inspiron's graphics card.
