Thank you, thank you, thank you- solution #1 worked!!! I pressed normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry... until all the buttons lit up. Then all the buttons went off and I was afraid my dishwasher was really broken. I then closed the door and pressed start and it worked.

Same situation...flashing "clean" green light...could not run any cycles...tried the poweroff, didn't work, then read the advise on pressing "normal wash - heat dry, normal wash - heat dry" then all lights lit and it worked!!! Great advice, thank you very much. Manitoba, Canada.

THANKS SO MUCH! "normal wash-heated dry...." reset it and I got all the blinking lights... It went through all sorts of cycles and all of them seem to work... before the washer would not do anything! I just told it to do a normal wash cycle now and am sooo happy we don't have to call Sears! My boyfriend tried looking at the manual to fix it and got no where and I just did a google search and found this helpful site right away!!! THANKS... I can't wait to tell him I fixed it in 5 minutes!

You people are terrific. Thank you.
The press normal wash then press heat dry (repeat until all light come up) method worked for me.

Just to add details to the wonderful Solution #1
... after all the lights come on, stop pushing buttons and wait. The unit will start up after a couple minutes.
THANK YOU, Guest and FixYa!

Try pressing normalwash-heatdry-normalwash-heatdry-normalwash-heatdry-normalwash-heat then all the lights come on. Let run for a little bit. then keep pressing the start button. untell the unit shuts off, then try running a cycle. The control board has a memory in it. So if you have cold water running in it one time. It will take longer to warm up. Your memory in the control board says its taking to long to warm up. Shutting down thinking their is something wrong with your heating cycle.

The 'Best Solution" above worked like a champ! Owner's manual says to "call for service" if the green light is flashing. Just like our computers, sometimes you just have to reset them. This does the trick! Thanks to whoever posted this solution. Saved me much time, aggrevation, not to mention $$$!

Just be aware, this blinking light is a symptom, not the problem. My son had fallen on to our washer door and bent it up. The replacement door (and hinges) don't align quite correctly and sometimes the sensor does not match up with the door latch all the way. If this is a recurring problem, try adjusting the latch. (You can see it with the door open, at the top of the washer front.)

Well I agree with everyone above me! I can believe it worked and I was REALLY sceptical...but my dishes are now being washed...and not by me...and i did not have to take the door panel off
Thanks a bunch

Solution # 1 is the perfect fix. I was having the same problem with flashing clean light. Pressed normal wash, heat dry as advised and now I'm back in business. Thanks for your help. Saved me and others mega bucks.
