- I had the Clean light on and no wash capabilities.I used the Normal Wash, Heated Dry, Normal Wash, Heated Dry fix it method, all the lights came on, and it started working.
I told the wife it took hours to fix, HA

- I had the same problem. Kenmore dishwasher - cleaning light still blinking - can't start regular wash. I followed the persons advice on hitting normal wash-heat dry normal wash-heat dry keep doing that until all lights light up - it will start running. he said to hit the start button until turns off - but i'm just letting the wash cycle run and i'll see waht happens! but I am sooooo happy that it worked! thank you! now I don't have to spend money on a repair man and I can tell my husband I fixed it all by myself and I won't tell him my secret! ;)- nina333Aug 31, 2008
- Blinking light indicating electricaLproblem from manual. Unit less than two years old.Took washer out unhooked and checked all points, all seem okay. Rewired and hooked up all hoses etc and still no luck!
Dishwasher still maintains flashing green light.
What could be the problem?

Try pressing normalwash-heatdry-normalwash-heatdry-normalwash-heatdry-normalwash-heat then all the lights come on. Let run for a little bit. then keep pressing the start button. untell the unit shuts off, then try running a cycle. The control board has a memory in it. So if you have cold water running in it one time. It will take longer to warm up. Your memory in the control board says its taking to long to warm up. Shutting down thinking their is something wrong with your heating cycle.

I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I can't believe it worked. For a week now that green clean light has been blinking. I thought I was going to have to call somebody to fix it but thankfully I found this website. Thank you soooooooooooo much.. I am so proud. I have got to call somebody and tell them I fixed my own dishwasher (with a little help from you guys). Thanks again.

Same situation...flashing "clean" green light...could not run any cycles...tried the poweroff, didn't work, then read the advise on pressing "normal wash - heat dry, normal wash - heat dry" then all lights lit and it worked!!! Great advice, thank you very much. Manitoba, Canada.

today January 9, 2009...blinking clean light, kenmore dishwasher would not run,,,the solution on Fixya ..."keep hitting normal -heated wash-normal -heated wash buttons over and over...unlocked the blinking green light problem. Dishwasher is running as I type this....will post again when I see the results of another washing tomorrow. H.T. Las Vegas Nv

THANKS SO MUCH! "normal wash-heated dry...." reset it and I got all the blinking lights... It went through all sorts of cycles and all of them seem to work... before the washer would not do anything! I just told it to do a normal wash cycle now and am sooo happy we don't have to call Sears! My boyfriend tried looking at the manual to fix it and got no where and I just did a google search and found this helpful site right away!!! THANKS... I can't wait to tell him I fixed it in 5 minutes!

Our Kenmore dishwasher clean light keeps blinking and we can not cancel nor start a new cycle. We turned off the breaker, checked for blockage, reclosed the dishwasher. What else can we try? Thanks Denise Walters

We've tried hitting cancel and opening and reclosing the door and drawers. We even turned off all power to the dishwasher for 8 hours...clean light still comes back on and just keeps blinking once power is restored. This is for Kenmore QuietGuard3, stock #17022
