Re: not working

Dear mcfan

U need to do a soft format to it after backing up the songs, i am sure then the player will display all songs in the list.

Not working right mp3

Dear mcfan,

I remember, the first time I downloaded a BUUU---NCH of songs at once, and realized that the iriver was overwhelmed with this huge dump of info! Since then, I do an album or two at once. Give this a try. Battery is not the problem:)

(that was my gut reaction as well)

Downloading music onto a mp3player

I think I fugured it out. I think this should set the thing up for you. Turn the unit on. Push the button in and hold for the count of three. Wait as you count to two then push the buton in quickly. The screen should display a different "MUSIC" sign. Now the tiny file type in the upper left of the screen should say "mp3". Now make sure you are loading mp3 files. Be sure the unit is ON when you connect it to the USB port. Drag and drop files onto the mp3 player. I got it to accept 5 songs so far. I am working with Windows xp. Hope it helped!

Sansa e260 has lost my songs and other problems

Sounds like the device may be full.

The device has 2 modes, if you put music on in either mode, you cannot see it in the other.

Easiest solution is to format the device and remove everything and then transfer them back in 1 specific mode.

To format in My Computer>Device Name (e260)>Right click and select format.

Best of Luck.

Song Names show up incorrectly on ILO Mp3 player. Wrong format?

The funny~.mp3 names are usually because the title field is not filled in in the mp3 property tags, so it uses the DOS version of the filename for the title. Under windows, right click the song and select properties->summary->advanced, and make sure that the title field under "description" has what you want in it. I don't think even the makers of Ilo know how it organizes the files.
