TV turns it self on, changes channels by it self and volume goes to maxium by it self. I would think it was the remote control module?

My TV was working fine this morning and all of a sudden starting acting weird. The channels moved by themselves and the volume would self adjust. I couldn't get the remote control to work or anything else for that matter. What is the problem and how can I fix it?

Most of these rca models have bad flybacks. also check horz output transistor, if flyback is relaced the screen voltage has to be at or close to 295 volts or set will shut down after on 5 seconds

You should try all the setup codes to which the TV responds, and should choose one, which give you maximum functionality. That's all to do in case of universal remote controls. If you wish to get more codes and other details check: & Both the sites have setup code list, and setup procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check the site in 'Mosaic' view. Cant get cable tv

First connect the cable to its cable input socket at rear.
Turn the tV On and enter its Menu option window. Press UP or DN button on the remote control to select 'Cable'. Selecte EZ scan [channel search]. The TV must scan for all available channels, and will stop after all the channels has been stored in its memory. You have to wait till the search function stops; no other functions with remote cannot be done, and the set will not respond any external command, either by remote control or by its front panel control, except the mains power ON/OFF switch will work. OK.

I have an sony rm-ez2 and i want it to work with my orion Model #tv1934 whats the code or will it work

As far as I can tell, Sony doesn't have any codes for Orion TVs. You can try searching through all of the codes in the remote. Turn on the TV, press and hold the Set button and then press the Power button. Release the buttons. Then press TV button (component button). Press the CH+ button followed by the Power button. Repeat the CH+ and Power combination until the TV responds (powers off, changes channel). Then press ENT. Check if the TV responds to the remote on other functions. If it doesn't repeat the steps from press and hold the Set button.
This can take up to 70 tries.

Alternatively, try a replacement remote for the TV or a USB programmable universal remote. is a substitute remote that should handle all of the functions.

I hope this helps.

Bose 3-2-1 Remote Control stopped working

I purchased a LAZBOY universal remote (at Fred Meyers, on sale for $9.99) and after a bunch of research and trial-&-error, was able
program it with a code (1629) which works reasonably well with the
Bose 3-2-1.

I don't have all the system-level functions (which I never utilized anyway) but do have all the basics as far as power, volume, source, and CD/DVD control.

Sanyo DS32224 tv remote

It sounds as if you have inadvertently selected the 'Aux' function. Pressing the 'TV' button (should be close to the Aux and others) should restore full control.
Since the volume generally means 'TV Volume,' this function often stays effective but the other controls will not respond, including 'Power.'

This happens to us all the time with our Dish remote which also has 4 basic functions.
