Question about Sony BRAVIA KDL-40S2000 40 in. LCD HDTV
I HAVE A SONY 55" PLASMA MODEL KDE55XBR950 WHICH I HAVE OWNED 3 YEARS. IT'S GOT A FANTASTIC PICTURE BUT RECENTLY I HAVE 2 RED VERTICAL LINES THAT GO DOWN (TOP TO BOTTOM) THE SCREEN ONE ON EACH SIDE, ABOUT 6 INCH FROM THE SIDE.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT TO DO? I NEED A EMAIL FOR SONY TO GET REPAIRED, RECALLED OR A NEW TV FROM THEM. 3 YEARS IS UNEXCEPTABLE TO A TOP QUALITY NAME LIKE THEIRS. HELP!!! ALL OTHERS PLEASE COMPLAIN AND SOMETHING MIGHT BE DONE.
This appears to be burn which shouldn't be possible with a LCD TV. BUT have you tried to adjust in the menu for this. I can't remember exactly what they called it but their were 3 different modes for this. Basically it was image retention on a LCD TV. I THINK they called it mode 1 mode 2 and mode 3. and upon switching these modes, the image would clear right up. Sony didn't have an explanation for it either. I just vaguely remember them saying something like that. Let me know if that helped you. Also are you watching a lot of 4x3 pictures or using it as a computer monitor? The cable boxes are notorious for this on Plasma televisions and there is no warranty for it either. Talk to you later. Good luck. Jay
