Because it can be altered by moving the projector I doubt the coolong exp. Maybe I should explain better it happens when it reaches opreating tempetature, it was not there when I purchased the projector so doubt the heat theroy

Still no good, have checked all the wires did wriggle tests.Yesterday it went for 2 hours with no concerns however suddenly it started, I tapped the side of the projector it stopped, then started about 5 min later. It is 100% that movement has an impact on the concern however internally I would know where to look. Are the Bulbs in these affected by movement when they are going to fail? Thanks I just don?t want to pay $700 for a bulb and find I still have the same concern

Maybe you need to improve the cooling system of the projector, because the fan inside mya not enough to cool the system. this also a problem encountered here in our office and we assigned one electric fan to cool the said projector. we try calling the dealer but that is not covered with warranty and costly to replace.

    Continuing the saga above

I tried removing the dust still no success, it did seem to change it to a more cyclic effect. Next question where in the world can you get cheap bulbs?

  • yom207 Jan 24, 2008

I was a little afraid so did not get too agresssive with the air but I will give it another go. Your assistance is appreciated.

Try to check the air flow filter. it might be dusty. try to attach some exhaust near the bulb. you encountered over heat of your projector. Try to consult a cetified technician for repair and to check if some components are burnt. It seems like grounded that overheats the system.

Well lets put it this way, you will need a bulb one day they are not going to get cheap, so I'd get one to have anyway and use it as a test, but with that said it may in fact turn out not to be the problem still no great loss you needed a bulb anyway.

I'd say though that you should have a good read of

THIS

Cheers Mate ;)

DUST IN THE COLOUR WHEEL SENSOR. If you open up your projector as described originally and have the lens facing you, the colour wheel is just to the left where the lamp goes. To clean the sensor, 1st remove the screw holding the small green circuit board. With it detached, you will easily see the sensor, and probably some dust/dirt. remove the offending dust, and wipe it clean. Also, if you spin the colour wheel carefully, you will see a black tape section. Wipe round where this tape is - the sensor picks up the black tape to sync which is used to sync the colours projected by the dlp chip

I'm sure that you will find it is dust, did you strip and blow it out with a compressor?

You could try looking at ebay for discount bulbs.

Sounds like a loose conection within the bulb housing. I would check to make sure everything has good contact.

Its better bring your projector to the nearest repair center for check and let them repair so that you have no risk, if ever has the warranty then you can avail it. if non, look for an option so that you can less cost. thank you very much.

Screen Cut off

This sometimes happen when different PC are used on the Projector - sort of confuses it sometimes.

Press the Auto button and it should be ok.

If it still occurs after pressing the Auto button - then your Mainbaord might be faulty.

hi all... i have this projector and it boosts up flashes the blue screen and sometimes the projected image too. then goes to standby mode.

I have managed to keep it going enough to see the problem for myself. Here is what i did.. lye the projector on its left side while a cool blower blows through the left side of the lamp housing. fire it up and it will stay on. I went to the menu and did a factory reset as well as lamp hours reset. checked the lamp hours and it was at zero. so its never going to stay on for long for one reason.

As the lamps get older the emit more heat and therefore cause the unit to shutdown. so if you want it to work your going to have to order that lamp. The cheapest i found is from austrailia link off ebay below.

last link is for the manual found in this forum but not clear on how to get it.

Hope you get a good result bulb on order.
