On XP Home, I use the Digimax software that is included on the driver's disc. It works fine, but no Media players that I have installed will work. On my Vista Home Premium PC, I accidently used DIVX player to open a file and it worked! And it works every time! I don't know why because it never worked on XP. Also of note - I did reinstall the Digimax software onto Vista, so maybe Vista uses the codecs from the software to play the files on DIVX correctly. But either way, these two solutions should work for anyone having this problem. Remember, on any XP versions you WILL need to use the included Digimax software to view the files with working sound.

Just use the included Digimax software. It always works for me. The K-Lite codec pack did not do the trick for me. But maybe I don't know how to adjust the settings enough...

Record video not have pause button

Very few cameras do. Videos are meant to be shot and then edited and scenes spliced together, often out of the sequence in which they were shot.

To "pause" a video, simply stop shooting. To "unpause," resume shooting. Then use a video editing program on a computer to splice them together. You might also want to put a title at the beginning, add credits at the end, add a musical soundtrack, etc.

Samsung s730 Digital Camera - Video Stuttering Problem

I have the same problem with 640x320 video @ 30fps. The first one was very clean, but after that the video freezes every two seconds, but the audio don't. I "fixed" this issue changing the video format from NTSC to PAL. Now the videos are smooth again, and if you want NTSC playback, just use a video converter on your PC.

Attaching Sound Memos to images In replay mode (including single replay, index replay and magnifying replay) you can attach sound memos (up to 60 seconds) to an image. The sound data is saved in WAVE format. 1. Select [sound_memo_icon_a70.gif (Sound Memo)] in the [play_icon_small_a70.gif (Replay)] menu.
sound_memo_menu_1_a70.gif sound_memo_icon_a70.gifappears
2. Select the image to which you wish to add a sound memo using the left_arrow.gif or right_arrow.gif button, then press the <SET> button.
sound_memo_menu_2_a70.gif The A/V panel appears.
3. Select [rec_button_a70.gif (Record)] using the left_arrow.gif or right_arrow.gif button, then press the <SET> button.
  • The recording starts and the elapsed time is displayed. Speak towards the microphone of the camera.
  • To stop recording, press the <SET> button. To restart recording press the <SET> button again.
  • You can add as many sound memos as you like until their total time reaches 60 seconds.
