There is a speaker button on the side of the phone just below the camera button. I believe if you hold down the speaker button for a few seconds it should turn off.

If you can tell us the make and model of the camera, we can offer specific advice. it may be a setting on the top-plate function dial - have you checked that ?
First of all you have to clean the scanner optics very well. Don't forget the Little mirror below the scanner. Clean the exposure glass.
I service thousands of these machines and I'm possitivly sure that the problem is damaged interface(grey flat) cable between the scanner lamp and scanner board. It costs not much.
The scanner is the same in following models :
LEXMARK X215, Samsung SCX 4016, Nashuatec DSm516pf and many others
good luck (don't by scanner lamp in any case)

There is a 'Lock' (a lock mark on the key) key on the right edge of your phone.
While on call if you press that for 3 seconds you will see the in call functions of the phone, you will also see a 'speaker' icon.
Press the Speaker icon and then Yes on prompt.
Your phones speaker function will be on.
Hope it helped.
