Pen problem with tablet

Hi I just brought a Wamcom Bamboo tablet less than a week ago, and the pen in not working correctly. The pen sensors are on before I even touch the pad, I have to move the pen completely away from the pad to stop the ink, or any other type of left click action. Any suggestions would be apreciated.

Does the Wacom Intuos2 Classic Pen (xp 300e) work with the Wacom Bamboo CTL 470 tablet?

From what I read on Wacom's site, they are NOT compatible.
The Bamboo use a stylus that is different than the nib pens that the Intuos use. The stylus for the Bamboo is more like the stylus you can purchase for smart phones. The Intuos pens are pressure sensitive and have different nibs you can use for different effects and feel. You can go to their website and look for compatible pens and stylus' for your specific tablet.

Why has my bamboo pen and tablet become so sensitive?

I've had the intuos and it worked for years without incident. I have the bamboo and after only a few months it's having issues. WTF is up with that?! I've already changed the nub out once. It worked fine for a while but now... I have to double click to get it to release anything it grabs onto. As a graphic artist where precision is involved... that's very bad.

I think it's time to contact their customer service.

Cannot open the Pen Tablet Properties page

I just fixed this by fiddling around with it. I use windows XP though.... Try going into your Start panel>Bamboo*or tablet name>bamboo preference file utility.
Then you will have a pop up come up that says to removed, backup, restore
Remove again or cancel. Press the second remove. It will restart your pen tablet.

Hope this helps you.
