It sounds like there may a problem with your water line connected to the fridge. check to make sure the cut-off valve is turned to the "on" position.

It is very common to have the line in the freezer door freeze up. I would start there first. If that's not it then next step would be your water valve which is located in the back/bottom of the fridge. It is a dual valve( one side for ice maker the other for water dispenser). you can check that by taking off the front kick plate and on the bottom freezer door hinge you will see the line entering the door. Follow it towards the under the fridge and you will find a coupling. Disconnect it and see if there is any water coming out when you press actuator on the door .. If yes then its frozen if no your valve is Kaput.

could be water inlet valve in need of replacement.also cold be water filter blocked, although would only happen in an area of high mineral content.if your fridge section is lower than 0 deg c, the water holding tank may be frozen up.also if your cab is the type with twin cooling, ie has a cooling element (evaporater)

The water lines might be frozen. The found the water lines in my fridge behind the bottom drawers and used a hair dryer to melt the ice.

Hi! Hopefully the manual of a similar Hotpoint fridge witll help you. There may be not a unique reason of this problem. Seems that it might be a problem of a cube dispenser.

hi. thanks for the question .in the front of fridge where the ice # water is located . inside the door ,there are two switches and they don't always make contact. work with it, till it gives out completely. thanks the appliance doc. please rate me thanks

Most water dispensing fridges have a tank in the fridge to keep the water cold. If the fridge temp is too low it might freeze the tank and stop the water from dispensing. Also check the water filter to make sure it is not frozen. Water filters should be replaced every 6-12 months, if it's been longer than that it might be too full of dirt to allow water past. It also might be the water inlet valve is not opening.

The icemakers won't make ice if the temperature is not below a certain set point. Varies between manufacturers. Try making the temp colder.

Allen, one of two things here. The dispenser target switch has gone bad or the actuator arm is not releasing the switch. Remove the front cover by using a small screw driver to unlock the tabs at the bottom. Slide the panel down and out. Disconnect the wire harness. Remove the 4 phillip screws in the door dispenser housing. Slide the housing out and disconnect the target switch and light connectors. Now you can spread out the locking tabs and examine the switch. If this all checks good, then the board is the problem...Catriver...post back.
