Sony Recorder RDR-GX300 won't record (by 3 users)

for years I have been recording english comedy programs from our PBSs
station channel 10. Recorder comes on at the set time and records for
50 seconds or so and then stops with flashing info write and then briefly
C1300 and back to flashing info write. reset timer programing many times with same result. Could if be that copy write has been added to the program? What does the apparent error C1300 indicate. CKS/PDX

Same here. First timer record stopped functioning, then instant record. The software was replaced under warranty and the machine worked for a few months. Now the same problem has recurred, and Sony won't repair it now as it is out of warranty
