My Bosch SHX46A06UC/42 stopped working today. I can hear the drain pump constantly pulsing about once every second. I checked the control board and found a relay contacted burned. I re-soldered the relay so it now has a good connection, however the drain pump still just pulses. How do I verify if the drain pump is bad or if the relay failed, or yet another problem?

F&P top loader GW711: water input comes in pulses; water pumps out in pulses. No error codes, display ok.

If the water input is coming in pulses and the water is not flowing continuously, it could be an issue with the water inlet valve or the water pressure. Here are a few things you can try to diagnose and fix the issue:
  1. Check the water pressure: Make sure that the water pressure is within the recommended range for your washer. Low water pressure can cause water to come in pulses. You can check the water pressure by turning on the faucet near the washer and seeing how strong the flow is.
  2. Check the water inlet valve: The water inlet valve controls the flow of water into the washer. If it is faulty or clogged, it can cause water to come in pulses or not at all. You can check the valve by disconnecting the water hoses and inspecting the valve for any signs of damage or blockage. If the valve is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
  3. Check the water level sensor: The water level sensor determines how much water is in the washer. If it is faulty, it can cause the washer to stop filling with water prematurely. You can test the sensor using a multimeter to see if it is sending the correct signal to the control board.
  4. Check the drain pump: If the drain pump is not working properly, it can cause water to pump out in pulses or not at all. You can check the pump for any signs of damage or blockage and test it using a multimeter to see if it is functioning correctly.
If none of these solutions fix the issue, it may be best to consult a professional appliance repair technician to diagnose and fix the problem.

Bosch Dishwasher stopped draining

If you hear the pump running, but little water drains, then check hose, and clean out debris trap at bottom of dishwasher. That gets plugged and needs occasional cleaning.

Bosch dishwasher shx46a06uc-30

the unit will try to complete the last command it was engage in before it went in the overfill safety mode. you must perform a cancel drain cycle to reset unit to default setting. Remember the drain cycle is 2 min and must be completed to reset main control. however if it went into a overfill status you have a leak and it generally comes from the pressure chamber on the lefthand side of unit where the water enters tub

My Bosch SHX46A06UC just runs and runs and wont stop.

The control board is not turning on the water heater due to bad control board, heater or limiting fuse.

Washer stops prematurely with code 03

This was always caused by a blockage of the pump. The water isn't able to be pumped out so the sequence stops rather than continuing with the wrong water still in the machine.

Our solution was to manually drain, then open the pump area and remove the coins that always were the cause of the blockage. Wish we could get our (grown) kids to stop putting pants with full pockets in the machine!

Of course, I am looking at this site today because the machine no longer turns the drum. A repairman visit resulted in the diagnosis that the power control module AND primary motor are burned out and need replacing, at an estimated $800.

Pump Runs On After Water Is All Drained Out?

If the cycle does not stop draining that is usually because of a faulty water level switch that controls the water level in your appliance.
The faulty sensor cause the machine to think that there is still water inside, even when water has drained completely.
Check if the floating sensor is stuck or faulty.
Some machine may use a membrane switch instead of a floater.
