Re: Hoover Floormate has lost most vacuum capability

Check to make sure that the filter cover is in place. This is commonly lost or misplaced. It is a clear-blue plastic cover that lines up with the motor intake and acts as a link for the tank.
Also, check the squeegees and make sure they are not torn. If they are, they will not allow the suction to concentrate in the nozzle. Also, check the black plastic wheel assy under the machine. These are notorious for breaking at the pivot pins at the back and this will not allow the machine to sit on the floor properly and will contribute to this problem.

Hi, how do I check my hoover floormate deluxe spinscrub's filter and motor?

Hi Mike! To check the filter on the Floormate deluxe, remove the dirty water tank and pull up on tank lid to separate from the base. Check foam filter for debris, if filter has debris, rinse it with water. To prevent internal damage make sure you are using only the Hoover Floormate detergent. If the machine is still noisy and smells bad we recommend taking it in to a Hoover authorized service center. Follow the link to find the nearest service center to you. Hope this helps! Hoover floormate will not dispense solution

this is the original Hoover Floormate, and may have a few different things that may be wrong. First check the fresh water tank is seated or installed properly. Second, it may be the pin on the actual unit itself that is not pushing in the plunger (located on the water tank) all the way to release the solution. Check for clogs above the brush block assembly the small holes may be plugged with dried sop solution.

Hoover floormate h3000 w/spinbrush will not dispense the cleaning solution how can i fix

The hot glue trick will work; but what you probably need to do is gently push down on the black pin from inside the tank. This will lower the solution release mechanism and the solution will dispense. I found this solution on this website and it took 10 seconds and worked well.

I have a hoover floormate h-2800 that does not suck up the water

this is a great vacuum. however it does require an extensive cleaning every now and then. diaassembly is required for this. there is a hose that goes from pick up to the tank. make sure this is clear. also your filter should be clean and dry.

No Suction

The water channel hose could be torn. you can check by removing the lower tank and tilting it backwards, it is located in the lower section. could also be the filter cover. it is needed for full suction control.

The bottom tank is not filling up with water and it seems like less liquid is being released out of the top tank

Your diffuser may be clogged above the brushes. check the front squeegee to make sure that it is in tact. Remove the lower tank and look at the intake hose, these often tear over time due to plastic getting stiff.

Won't wet pick up

the intake hose may be torn. remove lower tank and tilt machine back. look for the hose in the middle. Check for blockage in the nozzle and the squeegee condition. check filter cover to be in place.

Floormate stopped vacuming water

I'll answer last question first. Your floormate has a 1 year warranty. And should be taken in for repair.

Your issue of not picking up water, is related to suction and getting the dirty water to the recovery tank. check for obstruction in the nozzle, check the filter for debris clogging. If you have an issue with this dealer I would call customer support.
