Tilting to the right, makes noise while spinning

We just bought a new maytag top load model, it is all level, my husband keeps putting the level on it to make sure. As soon as it starts agitating the tub moves to the right of the machine.. ,then it makes noise when it spins...Model # MTW5770TQ

Yes, I bought this maching May 2007 and have had 2 different repair people out and no one thinks anything is wrong with it. The second one told my husband it is because the machine is so light (they don't make them like they used to) and our linoleum floor has too much give. He said screw a piece of plywood on the floor so there won't be that give. So my husband did than (and hid it with molding) and guess what? It still does knocks, rattles, bangs, moves, etc. during the spin cycle. Heavy load spin cycle is worse. It's basically a garbage machine and I will keep calling Maytag until they replace it.

It's sounds like the problem my machine had. It sweaked in the spin cycles. You may want to have the plastic rings on the top of the was basin looked at. Mine began to shred after they seperated and were rubbing against each other during the spin cyle. The Maytag repairman that came to fix the squeak in the machine, several times in about six months, never found the problem. I only realized that this was the cause of the sqeaking when I began to fine the plastic shreddings in my laundry.

Maytag performa pav3200 washing mach. very load shrill noise during spin

if you just bought it it probably is the shiping pin. it is a large boldt in the back of the front load machines, smaller pin in the side or rear on toploaders. it keeps the drum from spinning in transit. people forget to pull them all the time. especially if you installed it yourself. If that isnt the problem, try leveling it. Newer machines spin much faster than older ones and one tiny bit off level will make it rattle and shake.

Washer makes loud noises

Make sure all the guides and rollers that support the barrel are in the correct place and did not fall off or brcome displaced. You should be able to search for the schematic for your model.

I have a maytag washer i bought in 97. It became unbalanced well my husband fixed it and everytime it goes on the spin cycle it gets unbalanced again and makes a very loud noise

If the washer is truly balances (check with a level to be sure) you might just have an unbalanced load. When filling your machine with laundry, think of the tank as a big circle divided into four pie slices. Make sure you fill each of the four slices evenly. This should help,

Maytag washer makes loud grinding noise during the spin cycle

if it's making a noise then either your drain pump bearing is going out or your thrust bearing is going out (assuming the noise happens in both spin and wash). Tip the washer backwards so that you can get underneath of it. Take the belt off and spin the pump pulley on the right side. This should spin effortlessly.

The middle pulley is the trustbearing pulley. Spin this--- one direction it should have a little bit of resistance--- the other should have more resistance

Grouling noise in the spin cycle

First, check the belt (located in the bottom of the unit) and if it shows signs of wear (black dust) and shiny sides on belt and black marks on the motor, transmission, and water pump pulleys - replace the belt. The motor is spring loaded and acts as the tensioner up to a point of too much wear on the belt.

You will need to tilt the washer about 45 degrees and prop it to keep it from going all the way over (just makes it more difficult to right it later). Pop the belt off by rotating it while pulling the belt off the edge of the transmission (larger) pulley. Again, the motor pulley is spring loaded and will flex appropriately. Reverse the process with installation of a new (exact replacement part number).

If this doesn't fix the problem, you may have to call the Maytag Repairman. They would have replaced the belt anyway and would probably charge $50 + for the belt and installation.

Kenmore 110 Washing Machine -

These machines are good washers. If you rearrange the load and that does not help, the washer not be level. This washer if it is the one I think it is, it does have a belt very seldom do the clutches go out unless you you maybe do50 loads a day. my guess is that it is not level and you will need a short level and place it on the front edge of the washer and see side to side then on the right or left side front to back . Most of these are equipped with self levelers. Put your foot in front of the washer at the base pull forward on back to lift the rear feet off the floor about 2 inches and set it carefully back down then check both ways again until it shows level, you may have to repeat this once or twice. If it still shows not level you my have to turn the front feet in or out until level. Remember use a combination tilting to the front and adjusting the front ones.

Maytag MAV6000Aww washer-loud noise when spinning

Chances are it is not the tub. It is probably the transmission. It has been my experience that the transmission bearing starts to make noise. Look under the unit to see if you can spot any transmission oil. If there is oil, it's time to start shopping for a new unit.
