Bought set in 2004. Yesterday afternoon it startedto omit this high pitch buzzing like sound. Does it constantly when it is on. Picture is great, voice and sound still comeout of set but so does the high pitched buzzing sound. Very annoying. Called a local repair place given to me by RCA and he said probably High Voltage Power Supply and its not worth fixing.
Any suggestions? I've read thru about 100 questions and I'm not sure if their noise is the same as mine.

ok so i my grandfather had this ty diagnosed and the guy said that the tv
High Voltage Board needs replaced, The Tv Powers on and the green blinks then you hear like a relay click on but no picture. It cycles like this three times. Also there is that high pitched

Can i get a part #? any suggestions, is the board a plug and play or will it be more of a task.

open it up and see if any liquid is spilled on the boards, most squeals are from the high voltage transformer and or splitter
