Security code light blinking nodisplay on lcd

Dont know how but my head unit went into security mode and the securiy light now flashes red. I can not get the unit to turn on nor can i get it to display a request for any sort of code. Could this be a fuse or is there something else going on here? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Security code light blinking nodisplay on lcd

If you have not already tried resetting unit. Bottom left of unit you should see a small round reset button. Press this small Reset button with a Pen or other pointy object. If this does not work refer to trouble shooting section of Owners manual to see if any of that info may help.

If you need service manual I may be able to help

Password protection on kenwood is very good, you might need to pick up another head unit. Also after inputing the pass code you need to hold the fast forward or skip button to activate the code. I am verry familiar with that head unit and I dont know of any end arounds to bypass the security code. Get ahold of the origional owner and get their passcode or replace the headunit.

Pioneer AVIC-N2 does have unlock code?

no, this radio has no security code... Check to see that you have power on the yelow wire at all times, Power on the red wire when the key is on, and make sure the black wire is grounded well. something could have been disconnected at the paint shop.

Your unit has a security code programed.
There is a way to clear the security code, you just need to Point the remote control to the screen (while code request mode) and enter the follow numbers 55222277.
If you make a mistake press any number or reset the unit and start over again.
NOTE: You will not see any change on the screen until you enter the last number.
