Simplest way is to highlight the area of cells you wish to work on, right click, select "format cells" , click on "borders" tab then you use the big buttons with symbols of either outside / inside / both, top/ bottom/ left/ right..then choose the line style, and select the colour from the palate, You can also use the "shading" tab to create interesting effects, as well as the "fonts" tab. you will learn more by experimenting...enjoy !

How To Save A Workbook In Another File Format?
Most of the time, users prefer to save the workbook in the current file format as a.xlsx extension. But often, it's the case where you may need to save a workbook in other file formats, such as the file format of an earlier version of Excel, a text file, or a PDF or XPS file. MS Office technical support experts have suggested users that while saving their workbook in another file format, they need to follow few of its formatting, data, and other essentials features which may not be saved well. For a list of various file formats, also known as various file types, one can easily open or save in Excel 2013

Steps to save a workbook in another file format
Step1: Accessing the workbook
·Open and get access to the workbook which you wish to save.
Step2: One DRIVE option
·Under the 'Places' section, simply pick up the place where you wish to save the workbook. For example, if you choose the "OneDrive" to save it to the Web location or in the Computer to save it in a local folder, you can save it as your Documents.
Step3: Save As dialogue box
·In the "Save As' dialog box, one is required to navigate to the location according to their choices.
Step 4: Working with the file formats
·In the Save as type list, just click on the file format which you wish to save and then click the arrows to easily scroll to the file formats that aren't yet visible in the list as suggested by MS Office tech support team members.
A note of caution:
·The file formats that you'll see may vary, depending on what type of sheet you are actively working in your workbook (a worksheet, chart sheet, or other type of sheet).
·In the File name box, try to accept a specific suggested name or simply type a new name for your workbook.

How do you make lines appear on an excel sheet?

I'm not sure what Version you're using, so I'll assume after Excel 2010.
At the top of the page, under the Home tab and directly under the Font window, there is an icon which looks like a window frame (dotted all around except on the bottom edge).
In your spreadsheet you have to select the area you want to work on. You can select a single cell to add lines to or the whole spreadsheet. Click on the icon I described above and a menu box will pop down. There many choices which allow you to select lines on all sides of your work. I prefer the one at the bottom which says 'More Borders'. With that window you select the edges you want lines on, the thickness/type of the line, or put an outline.
I think that's enough for now and I hope that gets you started.

I have given you my card details - where is the help I have requested Mr printer can't print an excel spredsheet - please help now

It's not a printer problem, it's your computer or the way you have set up excel. The printer needs to be set up in excel properly, borders, margins, text size and type, and it needs to know where the printer drivers are and which one to use.

Unable to edit cells in MS Excel 2007...

First, I went to the office button on word 2007, went to Program Name Options, went to Word Options, click on Resources and then about. I had no product id in the field, so I contacted Microsoft. They had me verify my product key, then transferred me to another tech guy. I ended up un-installing all MS office products and then rebooted. He then sent me to a site where I downloaded a clean copy of office 2007. Once downloaded, I installed, opened MS word, and entered in my product key. I activated over the internet, closed the app, went back in, and then I was able to work in the application. Turns out that the product locked after 60 days and would not let me do anything until I had an activated product key. I hope this helps.

Microsoft office 2007 Compatibility with 2003

MS 2007 is not compatible with MS 2003....because the program hadn't been created yet when 2003 was released. To rectify the problem, you must use the SAVE AS command in your 2007 and in the box where it says file type, select Excel 2003 spreadsheet. It will then save it to a format that your 2003 Excel can recognize.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as FixYa. Thank you.
