Question about Sprint PCS Vision A640 by Samsung(r) Cellular Phone
Offline mode is an indicator of water damage or moisture damage. This is considered physical damage to the phone, and one would have to pay the deductible if you had insurance in order to get a replacement. If you don't have insurance, check for upgrade eligibility.

I have a samsung too and it is doing the exact thing. I washed it and it is in offline mode and satellite does keep spinning. I sure hope someone has an idea. I have no insurance.

The “Offline Mode” message can be the result of a sticky keypad, there may be one or more keys stuck in a down position. However, this error message usual indicates the E-boot sector has sustained corruption. This is normally the direct result of liquid damage. Such liquid damage inflicted upon the handset will render it useless and it not recoverable. In rare circumstances, the Emergency Downloading message can be corrected by performing an E-boot sector flash via a Product Service Tool (PST) or by replacing the malfunctioning component(s) through a repair process if not affected by liquid.
