Question about Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera

1 Answer

Canon Rebel XT unable to access compact flash card

When I attempt to take a picture, the CF light on the camera continues to flash indicating that the camera is attempting to access the card, but is not able to. I took out the card and put it in the card reader on my printer and was able to access the photos taken before this problem. That leaves me to believe that the card is ok. Any idea what I should do?

Check all the pins in the CF socket in the camera are there, or are not bent, repair is expensive if broken

Err CF I have a Canon Rebel XT, how do i fix this error and what does it mean?

CF stands for compact flash which means you have an error with your memory card. Try removing and replacing your compact flash memory card. If that doesn't work you may need to format your memory card or replace it.

I have a Cannon EOS Digital Rebel Xti. When I try taking a picture, I keep getting an error message indicating there is a problem with the CF Card. I have replaced the card several time but keep getting...

What you require is to format the Compact Flash Card. The CF card should be formatted when new and after every download. Format the card in the camera it is going to be used it. Constantly deleting pictures on the memory card will cause major corruptions and total failure. Formatting cleans the memory and allows the camera to communicate properly with the CF Card.
I going to give you several diagrams on where to go in your camera to format. these diagrams are screen shots right from your manual.

While using my Canon Rebel XT camera today the 4MB CF card only allowed me to take a few pictures and then the "CF Full" started to blink. I deleted the card but it is continuing to blink "Full CF".

mine has done this to me before.

dump all of your photos on to your computer
put the card back in the camera
in playback mode, hit the menu button.
in the menu, scroll over to the first settings tab.
there should be a "format" option.
Format your card.
this *should* fix it.

My camera canon eos rebel xt has an error code cf what does that mean ??? my camera doesn't since that code appeard.

CF probably relates to the Compact Flash memory card. It may be time for a new one. They're very inexpensive and a replacement would be the first step to discovering the problem.

I have a Canon EOS 350D, Compact Flash card freezes my computer

Instead of connecting via the camera, just use a USB card reader and put the CF card in that.
