I had the same problem before and this is how I fixed it. Plug it into your computer. Then go into"my computer". There you should see your player as a removeable drive like "Removeable Drive E". double click it to try to open it. You should be prompted that the drive needs formatted. Click yes or whatever to format. It should then show a warning that you will lose all files on drive and it will prompt you to verify that this is what you want it to do. Click yes or continue. I t should take like 2 seconds to format on a decent computer. Load new music on it and its ready to rock.

I had the same issue and just connected the device to my computer USB connection and performed a quick format on the drive and it now works. You will be warned that reformatting the drive will erase all the data, which will happen. But you can simply reload your music and be back in business... Rod

How do i play back a recording i've made? I have the Sansa m200 series MP3 Player

To play back a voice recording, you will need to do the following steps after turning on the player. Press Power/Menu briefly to get the software menu. Press the Repeat/A-B/Down button to highlight the line Play Music and press Select to enter the play back sub-menu. Press the Down button again to go to the line Recordings and press Select again. Use the Down button to highlight a particular voice recording and press Select to start playing the recording.

The manual for the Sansa M200 MP3 player is available as a PDF from the manufacturer here: http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/241 . The details for playing back a Voice Recording are on page 23-24 (24-25 of the PDF). You will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the manual.

I hope this helps.

I have a coby mp-c855. I record my own voice by the following: hold the M button for a few seconds, scroll over to record and press play to start your recording and pause to end. To listen to your recordings in the future: use M button, choice voice options and press play. I have not figured out how to delete my voice recordings yet.

DISK ERROR WHEN I TRY TO USE MP3

Double check p. 17 of the manual for a firmware upgrade, in case this message is caused by a db corruption, but the error may also be caused if your player is in the "lock" or "hold" position.
