The Green wire is a reverse trigger wire. It should be tied into the reverse light hot wire. This tells the monitor to turn on and switch to Video 2 so that it displays what is seen by the backup camera. When you take the vehicle out of reverse thus removing power from the green wire, the monitor switches back to normal driving mode. ( no video displayed ).

When i put in dvd it say park brake audio only and you hear sound just do see anything blue screen with that text

when you have it in park does the video work? if not you have it wired wrong you need to ground the cable in the back of the unit that goes to the parking brake to the vehicle chasis

The problem is everytime i turn my head lights on the pyle swiches to a blue screen, the radio goes off and it has the words "car" in the top left corner of the blue screen. i own a 2004 ford...

you have your wiring wrong, im guessing you have a rear view camera on there, you need to dissconnect the wire thats for the rear view camera (behind ur dvd) get another wire , connect one end to your backup lights (12v, red) and connect the other one to the wire for the camera behind ur dvd player

yes. the probs you bought a pyle. lol. the speakers were good back in the days but the electronics really suck and thus you get prlike you do BUT it seems like your installation technician did something wrong. once you turn your car off the unit should shut off. its probably hooked up to a negative ground or wrong wire.take it elsewhere before your car burns.
